Froch doesn't have a more solid resume. He fought two middleweights, one who didn't dominate a damaged Lacy as much as he was supposed to, and an Abraham whose only win was against that other middleweight. He beat Pascal who Hopkins clowned. Kessler beat Froch.

That's not more solid than what Calzaghe has. It's only filled with names after Calzaghe made SMW a hot division. Now everyone with a name makes a resume solid? REALLY? I guess Calzaghe beating RJJ means a lot.

And again, my only post was a response to you saying that 168 is a **** division. Whether you think Calzaghe is great or not was never the point of my post. IF you thought that Calzaghe was never as great as he was, then that means EVERY SUPERMIDDLE we have now is crappier than ****. And Hopkins is king of a crappy lightheavy division as well because Calzaghe beat him years ago.

And Bika did give Ward a very tough fight. THIS WAS YEARS AFTER Calzaghe decisively beat him. Bika fought three men, Calzaghe, Ward and Bute. He has more knowledge on the persons he fought than keyboard warriors would.

Heck, JDJ knows forgot more about boxing than you guys ever learned in your lifetimes and most of you don't respect their ideas. Funnay.

    Also, on the Kessler part.

Kessler before the Ward fight looked really crap against Perdomo. He also came from a long layoff. THEN after the Froch fight, we find out he's had eye problems ever since the Ward fight, something that's very important for a distance fighter like Kessler. AND HE STILL BEAT FROCH.

Slappy was neither as great, nor as bad, as he is reported to be.

Joe never met anyone that could match his workrate and determination. Thta's why he was undefeated. I see him beating any 168 lbers today.

Only Froch I would give a shot vs Joe. Simply because only Froch could match Joe's determination.

Calzaghe is one of the best and [arguably] the best ever at 168.

He could do it all. Box, adapt during a fight, great work rate, solid chin, fast hands and he had a lot of pop in his earlier years before the bad hands (although the way some people talk, when his hands did begin to deteriorate he had no pop what so ever which is a load of bollocks, if he didnt.. how would he have kept his opponents from walking right through his apparent 'clutter of pitter patter punches').

    Solid champion.

Problem is, we won't know how good he was, because he didn't lose, so we can't know how far he could have raised his game.

He dominated the era he was in without losses which is all he can do.

    Typical Calzaghe hater/Froch nuthugger

Froch beats a shot Robin Reid and gets credit for it. Calzaghe beat a prime Reid and everyone says he lost the fight

Froch beats a 30 year old Arthur Abraham who has seen better days to win the WBC vacant belt and gets credit for it. Calzaghe beats a 31 year old Chris Eubank who has seen better days to win the vacant WBO belt and gets stick for it

Froch beats an undefeated Jean Pascal to win the WBC title and everyone gives him credit and says what a great fight it was. Calzaghe beats an undefeated Jeff Lacy in a boxing masterclass and everyone says Lacy was overhyped

Froch beats a 42 year old Glen Johnson and gets credit for it. Calzaghe stops Omar Sheika who had previously beaten a prime Glen Johnson in his last fight but gets stick for it as Sheika was never a big name

Froch loses to beats Mikkel Kessler and everyone gives him credit for fighting in Denmark. Calzaghe beats him and everyone says Kessler was one dimensional

Froch takes a close decision in Nottingham against an unproven Andre Dirrell and gets credit for it. Calzaghe goes to America and takes a close decision against the linear light heavyweight champion of the world and fellow P4P top 10 rated fighter and everyone says he lost or even if he did win Bernard Hopkins was old

Froch beats former Middleweight champion Jermain Taylor in the last 20 seconds and get credit for it. Calzaghe beats former Supermiddleweight champions Charles Brewer, Byron Mitchell, Richie Woodhall and they all get classed as cherry picked bums

Calzaghes record is still far better

    Bye hater :hi:

Deduct all of Joe's win by "KO by ref" and we will see what's left.
