You and Bailey, the stupid **** duo. The only reason RJJ was favored at that point in his career and after showing his steep decline in ability is because the Vegas oddsmakers figured Joe was ordinary enough that even a severely diminished RJJ could get past him.

Op isn't asking who could have fought who and in what year, the question is whether Joe Calzaghe is the greatest SMW of all time.

    The answer is 'omg hahahahahhahhaahhaah!'

People debating on the Internet tends to be stupid ****s, Bernie ;)

I realize Jones was shot and would favour him to win in a head too head match up against Calzaghe. But your comment about how Jones would clown him tells me a lot about your level of boxing knowledge

Your analyze above is a bit dull, by the way. Clearly people underestimating Joe was a factor. But also that Roy Jones had dealt with his career in a way that made it obvious that he was on the decline, but still left people in the limbo about how much.

At least biased debaters like Bailey or Popkins have some interesting poinst every now and then. So far I have only seen you make irrelevant comments that have been heard a million times before. In that sense, you are below both of them.

I could give you 'interesting points' and very scientific reasoning why I could beat up six 9 yr olds at once, but why bother? Same thing. If you have to be told why and how RJJ whoops Calzaghe's ass, then it's pointless to tell you anything to begin with.

Underestimating Joe wasn't a factor. He showed himself to be about what everyone thought he was against an ancient RJJ and Hops, someone capable of giving them a decent fight when they're halfway in the retirement home but nothing near giving a good fight to prime versions of either one, particularly RJJ.

If someone wants to say Calslappy was a GOOD smw, fine. Say he'd whip a prime RJJ? You're a ****ing idiot and deserve to be treated as one.

Why do you bother to have both the Bailey and Headbanger nicks? You say the exact same things about the exact same fighters either way so why go to the trouble?

Now tell us again how Darius would KO RJJ, Michael Spinks and Ezzard Charles on the same night please. I need a laugh.

Why? Nothing but the truth. Calslappy would be less of a challenge than Toney or Hopkins, and they weren't much of a challenge to a prime RJJ. That's just the way it is.

You are able to state that this or that fighter is great and this or that fighter is ****, and of course you are entitled to your opinion. But I doubt your ability goes beyond that. I dont think you could put up a solid analyze about how prime Jones vs prime Calzaghe would unfold, simply because you have demonstrated an unrealistic view about at least one of the fighters.

You suggest yourself it was in a previous post. :huh

You fail to understand that Calzaghe was past prime as well. The winner between prime Hopkins vs prime Calzaghe is very hard to predict. Prime Jones vs prime Calzaghe is easier. But If you honestly believes that Jones or Hopkins would have an easy night, then you must have a very simple way of thinking. Do you seriously not understand why Calzaghe has been praised by the likes of Floyd Mayweather and Emmanuel Steward?

I dont think Calzaghe would whip him. And as we already have agreed upon, Internet are crowded with idiots.

Then why do you keep talking? Unless parsing trivial fine points and trying to sound more intelligent than you are is your favorite form of masturbation, kindly stfu.
