Its not 'Lennox EASY'. It's very debatable whether Lewis is the greatest British fighter but I agree he's up there with Ted Kid Lewis, Bob Fitzsimmons, Freddy Welsh, Jimmy Wilde, Jack Kid Berg, Jim Driscoll, Benny Lynch and Ken Buchanan. Lewis you could squeeze in the top 5 but he's defo not a dead cert n1 like you seem to think.

As for Joe he's either very overrated or very underrated. The truth lie's in the middle.

When Joe Calzaghe beat Jeff Lacy he pretty much shocked the boxing establishment, even yours truly. I didn’t think Joe could beat him.”

given that lacy was ****, this is an example of sugar ray leonard calling calzaghe a **** fighter haha.

Yup this is what he meant:deal could be ATG but its somewhere borderline, not like his deluded fans think, you can find in couple minutes at least 20 fighters greater than him that fought in 80s and after...(Hagler, SRL, Duran, JCCsr, Lennox, Holyfield, RJJ, Pac, Floyd, JMM, Erik Morales, Wlad, Hearns etc, even Tim Bradley has better resume than Joe:hey)

last year some Calnuthugger asked me to name 10 smws who might beat joe the other day,and he clearly thought there couldn't be anyone. I gave them closer to 20 names. they haven't replied to me yet...

I always give joe both his dues and faults, he is responsible for possessing them, not me.

I'm telling you what actually happened and calzaghe saw with his own eyes.

so what you really mean is that YOU can always ignore something that even your idol tells you, if you feel its harmful to your idol.

I've never been a big fan of Joe, I actually think he punches with hideous form but he did whoop Lacy's a** in spectacular fashion, and also defeated a good version of Hopkins. Overall I'd say he was a borderline elite fighter but I wouldn't consider him an ATG.

He was entertaining but the lack of power took some of the excitement because he wasn't going to knock out anyone and you knew that beforehand. Similar to Ward for instance.

It's a shame his power diminished with his hand issues, really. You know he must have had power to put Eubank on his arse. Eubank said he hit hard, himself.

Was impressed from the 1st time I saw him fight. Liked his aggression and was impressed with his speed and work rate for a SMW.
