No you are missing out big parts like Ward could have chose to fight Bute and made out he wasnt interested. The Dawson fight I believe was agreed before Froch fought Bute. also Dawson didnt necessarily have a better resume and definately didnt at SMW where the fight was held, and also wasnt as big a fight

He didnt want to see it Foxy, it wouldnt suit the agenda.
I gave the results as they factually are and as you note offered the opinion on Tiberi, which below shows a greater story I could have quoted

    This content is protected

As said it probably didnt suit an agenda and they are all desperately trying to change the subject to a fighter not even mentioned and duck the question

We've discussed Ward - Bute to death.

    Forget that.

    Just answer my original question.

How would Joe's career look, if you an*lysed it in the same negative manner that you've an*lysed Toney's?

Again, if it's a fighter you like, you view everything in a positive light. But if not, you don't.

You asked me how Toneys career would look if I wrote is like I did Calzaghes on this thread, and I noted that losses, not unifing etc would not be there.

I havent overly ****ysed Toneys career, I was asking about if he didnt get some of the close decisions leading to the Jones fight and had a loss or losses, if the vistory would be viewed the same without the 0 and you havent answered that

    It's really simple.

What he's wrote about Joe, is all positive.

What he's wrote about Toney, despite being factual, is negative.

Yes, he was behind against Nunn. But so what? Nunn was elite, and Toney ended up beating him.

Yes, he had a close fight with Reggie, but Reggie was class.

Yes, he drew with Mike, but Mike as we've discussed before, was a genius in his prime. Although he was past his prime, he was still an elite fighter when Toney fought him, and Toney was only young.

Everything Bailey has written is purely from a negative standpoint.

Again, the point I was making, was that if he an*lysed Joe's career in the same manner, then his post detailing Joe's achievements, would look VERY different.

    Agenda?

    The irony.

I too can give factual details regarding Joe's wins, but again, if I did it purely in a negative manner like how you've done, it wouldn't look that great.

I think you are reading more than there is. I was noting Toneys close fights leading to what was considered a massive fight and how he had been taken to the limit on more than one occasion including his previous fight. You seem to be very defensive and looking for more than there is.
By all means ****yse Calzaghes fights leading to one of his bigger fights like Lacy or Kessler who both had an 0 for all I care, make a thread on it, but lets not clog others threads about non relevant things

You've got it back to front.

I'm asking you how Joe's career would look, if you looked purely from a negative standpoint, like how you've done with Toney.

Regarding your question regarding Toney still being undefeated, I'm not sure. Because many people thought that he'd lost to Tiberi. James has admitted that himself, although I think it was years later.

    But it's an interesting question.

It has similarities with Eubank and Collns. I know that you really value those wins for Collins. But Eubank was lucky not to have dropped decisions to Schommer, Benn and Close. He's even admitted that in his opinion he lost the Benn and Schommer fights. So let's say he'd already lost to one or more of those guys. Would you then have rated Collins's wins as high?

    :good

    *EDIT*

Please ignore this post, as we can discuss it on your other thread.

Come on now, a lot of other people have noticed what I'm saying.

What you've wrote about Toney reads as though you've been very negative.

We'll move on, because we're now having the same debate over two threads.

Let's leave this one to discuss Joe's career.

    Loudon -

Im sure that one day we will end up having a pint and laughing at this, but no doubt it would possibly lead the the greatest drunken debate the pub would have ever seen
