Branko who?? As good as Reggie Johnson.:patsch

Southpaw has to do with the fact that Joe didn't seem interested in fighting them for some reason, and that Joe may very well not be 17-0 against Americans had he taken more chances. It is stupid to brag about really.

lol @ a Jones fan accusing someone of ducking fighters. There was no southpaws intrested in fighting Joe, most likely.

Reggie was garbage by the time he fought Jones. Most of his fights had been at middleweight and he was a 5 or 6 defeat journeyman by that point.

I didn't say ducking, I said not interested in fighting... Huge difference.

But I don't expect someone that thinks Roy ducked Calzaghe to understand what my point is there.

Maybe because there wasn't many southpaws out there that would make him a decent paycheck- or at all. Ever consider that?

    That's very possible..

And I am not hating on Joe by the way, but I do think it is strange not to run into a world class southpaw your entire professional career.

I also remember him dismissing Tarver as someone not worth his time because all he did was catch a shot Roy at the right time, only to go on to fight Roy later.

Dawson would have been a much more relevant fight than Roy at the time as well..

Nobody outside of the island really cares about Calzaghe. That must be your mission, to make sure that no one forgets that there was a dude who was undefeated fighting a bunch of bums, beat up over rated Jeff Lacy, than feasted on a couple of old guys and retired because he struggled to much with them. Big deal.
Im glad you are in love with the guy. Maybe you are his coke dealer. If so, good for you, man. Honestly though, nobody really thinks about or cares to remember ol Slappy

Dawson was unheard of, even to Americans. Joe was retiring so he couldn't fight for chump change against a domestic level fighter in Dawson just to get no credit when he exposed Dawson anyway.

And Dawson had just scored a robbery over journeyman Glen Johnson, whereas Roy Jones was coming off a shut out over 1st ballot hall of famer Felix Trinidad.

No, my number one post topic is easily Wladimir Klitschko. I dont ever post on Slappy threads that are in any way serious or intelligent. I just have to pipe in every now and again to remind you that you are a bit out there with your man love for the guy.
For the record, my favorite fighter of all time is Charlie Zelenoff, who is an undefeated, feather fisted white dude from my own home country. You dont see me posting thread after thread testifying to his greatness, do you? Charlies resume is almost as good as Slappy's, and hes done more blow, mashed more p.ussy, and been forced to injest more physcotic medication than Joe Whats his name could ever dream about

Me too. After seeing what Joe did to Lacy I'm a big fan of organised slaughter.

Shame Broner has such a glass chin and wouldn't see the 3rd round, or he'd be in for a similar beatdown Lacy got at the hands of Joe.
