A 44 year old in his prime?, sure thing. Only desperate Calzaghe fans will tell you that because if they didn't, Calzaghe's entire career is flushed down the toilet.

Fans from all walks of life bring up excuses, so please don't bring up race/nationality into this unless you're just another loser who's trying to stir sh*t in an already sh*t infested site. The fact that America always had more superstars in the sport makes it seems like American fans are always bringing up excuses when in reality they're only overshadowing others because they always had more stars to celebrate/discuss. I know this is too much to ask for, especially for a new member of this site, but try to use your brains for a much needed change.

As far as Ward losing, layoffs are a b*tch and they rarely do good unless a fighter needs them to heal injuries, even then the ring rust is apparent. It takes an A class fighter to exploit a great fighter's ring rust/layoff and take advantage of it. So even though you don't like it, layoffs ARE legitimate excuses in the sport. You need to actually have at least SOME kind of experience in this sport to understand it and clearly looking at how sadly primitive your way of thinking is, you're a waitress, secretary or student at very best.

Nowhere near shot yet past his physical prime... Do I need alcohol to make sense out of that?

Notice how Hopkins is always getting older in the fight with Joe C? I've heard 43,44, and 45 now.

    absolutely not shot no.

but he was carrying 50% strength and 50% lungs in his 40s. even a 50% Bernard gives anyone problems.

shot to me means more like 25% or less.

yet no matter how old bernard gets...."not far off a decade younger Joe" is according to caltods like you always WAY more shot and older than hops, true.

go figure how dumb the caltods are. go figure how they destroy their own posts.

its the opposite of that - Bernard is the only 40something that caltuurds want to claim was prime. There is NO OTHER 40something that Calturrds claim was prime! Calzaghe could have chosen any number of ATG 40somethings and he would have struggled because CALZAGHE LACKS the top skills, its nothing to do with Bernard. If Calzaghe had picked 40something toney and been shown up as expected until toney gassed, then Caltuurds would claim toney was prime instead!

and yet you want to claim its the opposite of the truth. wow what planet are you on.

I think the 32 year old Hopkins would have to be compared to a much younger injury free Calzaghe to make it a fair comparison.

Considering his hands(tools of the trade) were semi-disabled coming into the fight, was he "shot" and enormously disadvantaged?
