Define serious....the european amateur championships at junior level are both serious and meaningful.
boxers who want to be considered for world or olympic selection or gain experience of different styles would go through these routes. to be classed as a winner at the amateur championships(junior) is an achievment to those who win

The overall system for amateur boxing with regards to organization secection/participation has changed due to the introduction of federations/commitees post 2000. with a host country bidding for the right to host.

there are many well known pro boxers who took part in these competitions but did not win and do not list it.

Define it like World amateur boxing champinship, Olympic medal, European amateur championship, i dont want to know what he did when he was 12 13 years old and i dont want to!!! Some guys on ESB said he did not compete because he wanted his father to train him but british boxing association did not let him, politics or not he did not compete or win any of these mentioned as senior, or did he?
When you edited you just said he did not at senior level, and first you wrote some bull**** about my knowledge atsch dont try to be smart ass:nono
