Yes, we all miss Calzaghe, one of the best of his era, but we won´t be missing his fans.

Joe Calzaghe pissed his potential down the drain.

Will I miss him? perhaps... will I appreciate him? perhaps...

Look, he's only got two, potentially three good wins to retire off of, he's not that great.

    pete manfredo?
    Evans Ashira?
    Kabary Salem?
    Mger Mkrtchian?
    Tocker Pudwill?
    Miguel Angel Jimenez?
    Will McIntyre?

    good post fella.

calzaghe's status will continue to grow after he's retired anyway.

    - hopkins will continue to shock people
    - kessler will clean out the super mids
    - lacy will beat taylor

joe would have done anyone of em in his prime anyway, even with ****ed up hands. people can knock joe as much as they like but 46-0 will be in those record books forever.

    - he beat a great champ in eubank
    - he gave america's great hope lacy - the greatest boxing lesson in history
    - he unified a the super mids by beating a great fighter in kessler
    - he travelled over seas, moved up in weights and beat america's great hero bernard hopkins despite a horror show from the referee.

now good luck to joe against jones, he has nothing to gain and everything to lose but it wouldn't suprise anybody if he went out of boxing giving the greatest performance of his career despite himself now being over the hill.

You can spot the intellectually dishonest posters discussing Calzaghe's resume, because they always mention Tocker Pudwill.

That's pretty much an automatic red flag.

Honestly is this crap real? Most of the posters here didnt even know who he was until he faced Lacy. He was defending the WBO for aeons on his home turf making easy defences as Britains number 1 comfort fighter. Why exactly would you miss that??!!? Give me a ****ing break..

People will miss Calzaghe similar to how they miss Mayweather. The huggers will be sad and rellieved if he retires undefeated. The haters will probably miss him more out of spite.

I dont see the comparison. PBF was a MAREVLOUS boxer and one of the best talents in decades. Joe on the other hand is/was an opportunist who is horrible to watch with a shoddy technique. I certainly wont miss him in the slightest as his not pleasing to watch at all and very ordinary.
