Joe Calzaghe "Slapping" Hopkins around vs B-Hop's effective Punching-Video Inside

A serious case of the good old WHAT THE ****?

 

I could have made an arguement for round 2 to Calzaghe, but purposefully scored it to Hopkins. So I guess Tito44 scored it 117-111 for Calzaghe?

 

How to you guys actually score fights?..."Ooh look, he´s punching and punching and punching...holy shits the punches land on the gloves"

 

I have to go back and watch it to score it again, and there is no way i am doing that. I just remember rd 7,8,9 were pretty easy to score. It was not that close though of a fight though. All of the holding and faking blows is the only thing that kept Hopkins in it.

 

If you just look at those 2 highlight vids at clean shots landed (not all shots) I counted 7 for Hopkins and 10 for Calzaghe just there alone, so lets not try and pretend that Joe didnt land clean because he did more often than Hopkins

 

As you can see. I didnt have it close at all either. If that one judge hadnt of been so out in her scoring, and been in line with the other 2, then there wouldnt be the contraversy now.
De La Hoya got a lucky UD over Sturm and people except it more, but if that had of been a SD for Oscar, there would have been more said

 

Looks like my vids are doing the rounds again. As a boxing fan it was really frustrating seeing hopkins just coasting at the end. Should have stepped on the gas and did some damage. Zag just outslapped and outworked him.

 

I dont understand why Hopkins' fans would even bring this fight up, his performance was nothing short of disgraceful.

 

Hopkins was the only guy who wanted it, i think most fans and sceptics wanted Cal to fight Dawson or Pavlik.

Calzaghe easily beat hopkins in that fight its time for boring old hopkins to hang em up
