got no answer for the long count:rofl

the booth fight you talk about was in 2001 when ward was still green what ever happened back then means little now

bute's situation being knock down and counted out was just back in november 2009 just 2 year and 4 months ago, much more of a bigger deal:tong

Bute last left canada for a fight back in 2005 he only did it vs Jean-Paul Mendy last year because all the real men in his division was tied up with fights in the super 6 tournament. :hi:

ward and bute are just as bad as each other when it comes to fighting away from home this argument can't be won on either side. The reason they do it is because its were there fan base is and were they make there money so they are happy staying there especially bute who's fighting bums and making nice money fighting these bums at home without even fighting on an elite level.

can you explain, if Calzaghe was such a better boxer than Ward, that he loses the earlier rounds but wins later on.

dont get your logic, surely he would be winning some from the begiiining.

Ward is not going to gass like BHop. He will be able to win rounds for the whole fight. There is no reason why Calzaghe turns it round.

you dont know who Ward will fight and who will be upcoming at SMW , unless you have some crystal ball. Join the circus, Gypsie Rose Virgil.

Joe could have fought the best ASAP whilst he was young like Ward did, he had the choice, but he valued his unbeaten record above supremacy, so fair play to him for that. It was his choice, now hes got to live with it.

Did he give thanks to his number 1 fan Bailey?

"I would really like to thank him for the tireless hours he puts in defending, promoting, and outright adoring me on the internet. Spot on."

if you are judging someone as greatest SMW ever then you need to stick to acheivements in that division really. RJJ was superior to Calzaghe in his overall record, ability and and acheivement wise, but he acheived much less at SM.

Would you be kind enough to sort this one out for me? Calzaghe tried to get it on with Hopkins in 2003, to my understanding, so who did he duck? I guess that you can make a case he should have gone after Jones aggressivly, but put Jones own agenda in to the equation and it gets hard to say who it to fault.

Glad I made you laugh. You are definitely the biggest single fan of a fighter I have ever encountered.

I see no problem in Hopkins asking for more money, he was the far bigger name. And yes he could have gone straight for Jones like Froch would have done if he was aborn a bit earlier, but he must have known he would lose so he didnt.

Cal didnt chase the big fights, you've mentioned one that we arent even sure about the truth. Not sure why you are denying it when his record is plain for all to see. You need to accept that its what Cal did, its in his DNA to preserve his record. There is no shame in it, it was simply what he wanted.

Ward took consecutive big fights in his stride. He is not afraid of losing, and will likely pick up one or two defeats with his approach over the next 6-7 years. Thats his DNA. end of story.

Ward looked very lucky to get that decision. Watch the fight. I have. Ward was wobbly legged, knocked down and put on the back foot.
I dont think Ward thought he won looking at him after the fight.
Boone looked to have deserved the win to me. Thats not bias, watch the fight
