Those fighters' status would be the same as it was in the 80's/90's as it would be now if they fought today.

It comes down to this. On the mornign of his fight with Joe we woke up thinking he was the best SMW in the world. He went to bed that night and every night since KNOWING he never could be the best.

That takes time to come to terms with. Many never do.

He exposed him more than ruined him.

Joe C. has a way of doing that.

He completely broke down Lacy and ruined him forever.

He's got himself fighting for the IBF Super Middle weight title next (that doesn't sound like a man "ruined forever"), after experiencing a dilapidating rotator cuff injury as well. He's pretty much in the same position he was before, just that this time he's facing Taylor and not a shot Reid. Taylor, like Calzaghe, will take the limited fighter Lacy is apart.

Tyson was finished, from what he was, when Lewis faced him, and passed his best when he came across Holyfield. Lewis deserves little to no credit for that win. For the short spell of time, pre Douglas, he shone so brightly.

If you watched LAcy face OMAR SHEIKA before CALZAGHE you would have know he was very average.

Considering that was Joes defining fight , it says alot about the quality of his opposition.

I mean Roy Jones got alot of stick on here but even Roys "B" wins were more credible ie. Reggie Johnson, Del Valle
