I would have read this if you'd used full stops and line breaks. I'm fussy like that.

Pretty standard that Joe wins this fight on point IMO

An intresting topic would be Joes ability to beat ward, because IMO that is a pick em fight

I was thinking the same thing after 9 or so rounds of Froch-Ward, but then Froch had his best time of the whole fight in the last couple of rounds. For some reason Ward was blowing worryingly heavily for someobody who had dictated the pace and dominated all of the preceding action. If he was huffing and puffing after enjoying such a comfortable ride when he did as he pleased, then he'd be blowing out of his arse in the chamionship rounds against Calzaghe. Seems stamina is a problem and why he's risking his name being associated with Conte.

You're right, Calzaghe didnt dodge him at all. Carl hadnt done anything and wasnt a name then. Remember Calzaghe had had 2 fights up in weight and retired before Froch even won a world title. Still when Calzaghe was a SMW, Froch didnt want to know then.

Why would Joe Calzaghe a world champion and international superstar fight the at the time unkown Carl Froch when he had the offer to finish his career fighting the world class and boxing legend Roy Jones?

Plus Joe was at 175lbs after over 11 years of struggling to make 168lbs,the victory over Hopkins althought tight but clear IMO showed that Calzaghe was at a level that Froch will never reach,i believe you will all see this after Bute beats Froch.:hi:

I think it's would be alot closer than people think in the early rounds,
Especially seeing how JC fought Kessler. Yes he adapted but Kessler had his moments and I see Froch also having some moments with JC who would have a brawl now and again (Mitchell and Brewer).

JC maybe going down in the first 4rds due to the battle of britain fervour vreated by the media and crowd.

JC pretty much dominates every round from 4 onwards probably flooring Froch himself on the way to a ud.

    Especially for you :thumbsup

Kessler found success early because he's a fantastic textbook boxer and actually has decent quickness to his work. Froch is slow and unorthadox, I dont see anything other than pure domination by JC

I honestly think ward would be tired as early as round 8 against a guy that fights at the pace of JC.

By rounds 10-12 he would be in serious, serious trouble

I say split rounds 1-8 evenly and after that its all calzaghe, probably putting ward on the floor late

116-111 for Calzaghe is a conservative estimate.

    Calzaghe would batter ward too.
