    Done deal..

Toney defeated comparable or better technicians in McCallum and Nunn, and was leagues better than anyone Calzaghe ever defeated or at least in their primes. Joe is a good fighter, did some great things in the ring, but Toney is a class higher.

Calzaghe's movement, workrate, and handspeed give him an edge offensively here in a fight I see going the distance. That kind of style helps pre-empt Toney's offense before he can establish his own rhythm, which is vital to beating Toney. Calzaghe does like to engage more than Roy, and so I see Toney landing his fair share of clean counters...but Calzaghe's got the conditioning, chin, and recovery to last through them and I don't see James being able to establish his offense enough to win on points.

    Calzaghe UD, 116-112.

Yup. People seem to think Toney would just use upper body movement an just counter punch. I could see Toney taking the lead an making it an ugly gritty fight. Joe could never hurt James but james could hurt Joe.

A 5'9 tiny out of shape man moved up an beat Jirov, an multiple heavys. Lets not go their. James would have hurt Calzaghe. At 168 when he was healthy it doesnt matter who had the better stint at the weight.

When you fight as often as Toney did your gonna have shaky moments. 85 fights an you think a fighter isnt gonna have some off nights. Man dont be dumb. He fought with the frequency of the greats of the past.

That's a nonsensical comment. Calzaghe's movement was not the cultured lateral and in-out movement of a genuine slickster like the sfw Mayweather, Calzaghe was more of a wayward buzzbomb, he wouldn't have the poise to evade Toney. James wouldn't be remotely disoriented by Calzaghe slap-blizzards, he'd find it very easy to time and land on Joe C, and Toney's heavy heavy counter right would gradually drain the pop from the Welshman. Trust me, Calzaghe was made for Toney and this would not be a close fight. It'd be one of those times where two guys (rightly or wrongly, in this case wrongly as I see it) who are viewed as equal in terms of status meet, but then styles render it a very clear win.
