Jones ducked Collins, DM, Nunn, Rocky and avoided these fighters like the plague Jackson(savage puncher) McClellan(savage puncher), Benn(puncher) Liles.

Why did Roy Jones not fight one damn Savage puncher in over 50 fights? Why? Explain that to me. How is that even possible? Roy has known about his Chin from the get go. He has known he also has no Plan B in a fight. He can't adjust when things are not going his way.

This is backed up by video evidence. Why was he willing to go and get KOed on 3 different continents later in his career and not willing to leave Pensacola for the majority of his career?

He wasn't a huge ticket seller or PPV draw. I want these questions answered by the Roy Jones fanboys. Tell me.

Roy left Pensacola all the time.. It is hard to take you serious Rico, everything to do with Roy is a huge exaggeration. Much like the rest your post.

I am surprised to not see Calzaghe listed as a fighter Roy ducked.. Since you think his comment about not wanting to fight Roy was actually about wanting to fight Roy but not wanting to give into the ridiculous demands.

So Hopkins, Tate, Toney, Griffin and Heavyweight Ruiz couldn't punch? I guess he ducked Calzaghe because of his murderous KO power:lol:

Jones managed to go through 134 amateur fight and 50 pro fights ranging from Light Middleweight all the way up to Heavyweight without getting KO'd, winning multiple World titles and being recognised as the P4P number 1 fighter in the World along the way. Not bad for someone with a glass jaw.

I am going to go out on a limb and say a well placed James Toney counter could be a pretty savage punch... They don't call him "Lights Out" for nothing.

There was actually lots of concern as to how Roy would deal with Toney's power shots, moving up in weight and all... The announcers said midway through the fight that Roy's ability to take a punch was impressive...

That would NEVER had been seen and said of a glass jawed joke, in there with a fighter of Toney's caliber.. It is common sense.

roys real problem was that he pushed the human frame too far, he did what no one else had done and paid a heavy price in the aftermath in terms of his conditioning,

Going up from LMW to HW AT THE TOP LEVEL, not a euro wbo level, and expecting to maintain being as good as you were in the aftermath of all that weight gain (especially throwing in some steroid use for gaining the necessary mass in an unnatural way, building 'unnatural' muscles) is impossible. To pretend it wouldn't affect your body badly is sheer idiocracy. Jones was a victim of his own success.

And psychologically too, once you win the greatest prize, how do you motivate yourself for something lesser? There is nowhere else to go except to try to unify the hw crown, a bridge too far for any LMW - who in history could have done that? - noone. He had nothing left to prove. No wonder he went off the boil.

Jones ducked savage punchers in every weight class he fought in.

Oh really? Lets look at this for a minute shall we?

Jones fought Ruiz in March of 2003. His last stoppage before that fight was December of 1999 :rofl:patsch and that was against Thomas Williams :patsch

In Ruiz 11 fights after the Jones fight he had 3 stoppage victories one of which was Oquendo in a fight that had something like 400 clinches total between the two of them and the crowd was booing from round 3 on and the referee stopped it when Ruiz landed a few punches against the ropes. The other 2 stoppages were against Otis Tisdale and Adnan Serin :rofl

So, not only was Ruiz not even close to being a puncher he was also slow as ****, flat footed and had ZERO skills except the Jab & Grab which conveniently he was not allowed to use against Jones and the ONLY fight it was not allowed during his WBA title reign.

And you want to tell me Ruiz was not a handpicked fight for Glass Jaw Roy?

Anyone who knows Boxing can look at Ruiz and know why Jones picked him instead of Byrd, Lennox, Sanders, or any other beltholder during that time frame.

Roy did NOT do what Fitzsimmons and Spinks did before him. He did NOT beat THE Heavyweight Champion he beat a trinket beltholder. Lennox Lewis was THE Heavyweight Champion of the World. Not John Ruiz. Do you understand this?

wtf, a guy like ruiz with a natural 70 lb advantage is not a threat physically to a MW???

That's like claiming that Jones punching power is not a threat to a featherweight. WHy would you claim the impossible.
