True. How can anyone say Jones Jr is still a top light-heavy? He hasn't beaten one since Tarver in 2004- FOUR YEARS ago.

I genuinely can't believe how you can think that. RJJ is my favourite fighter ever, I think at his peak he is top 10 all-time P4P (certainly on ability IMO), but think about it...

    - He got sparked by Tarver in 04
    - He got sparked by Johnson in 04
    - He is four years older now than he was then. NO HUMAN BEING is better at boxing at 39 than at 35. He has had a further 4 years to age and decline since then
    - In his last fight, Jones Jr failed to stop a blown-up out-of-shape welterweight who hadn't fought in years and was fighting at least 20lbs above his natural fighting weight. My gran could've stopped Tito in that state
    - Calzaghe is a better fighter than Tarver or Johnson IMO

Why do u think a guy that hasn't stopped anyone since before 2003 or won a fight v a decent opponent since 2004 and is now 39 and was getting KO'd for fun years ago by the last decent opposition he fought, is going to beat The Ring's #2 P4P guy?!?!??!!?!?

Calzaghe should never have taken this fight, it's a joke. There is no honour in beating up a faded legend for money. He should've fought Pavlik.

    who cares

why do you need to make 100's of threads about the same thing, even if you havent made one yet - there have been hundreds.

its repeated useless threads like these that contribute to some of the best posters contemplating leaving the site.

Brooklyn, i havent seen Decebal or kg0208 for a while - lets stop the repeated troll threads.

Less interesting than a thread about a current issue is people bothering to clutter them up whining about them. If you don't like it, don't come in and don't waste your time posting, save us who have an opinion on the matter your pointless whinging.

Dude, this quote has only just come to light yesterday, and there have been absolutely no threads started relating to it, or coming off it; like this one does. It's a pretty telling quote don't you think?

*Especially considering the 100s of threads stating Jones avoided Joe...and how Joe was unlucky never to get the big fights... and that Joe is fighting Jones next...*

"I'm not chasing after Roy Jones. Be honest, Roy Jones is a good fighter and I don't want tough fights, I just want big money."

This is Joe's first fight that's really all about the big benjamins. Let him have it, nothing wrong with a man looking for a nest egg. I seriously doubt this will be his last fight anyway, unless something unthinkable happens against Jones, he will fight the last fight in Cardiff against Pavlik, so long as he gets past Hopkins.

Plus, that quote from 1999. Is there any evidence to suggest JC could have even got a fight with Jones in 1999? Having held a **** belt (in a lot of peoples eyes) for just two years and being a nobody in America.

Final thing, what is the point of this thread? Doesn't seem to have any particular purpose.

A send off against Pavlik in Cardiff would be a great fight.

    Tut, tut Joe. :D

And know you want credit for the win - and amazingly people are heaping praise on you for the win; unbelievable!

Exactly. I started this thread months ago. The levels of hypocrisy, bias and rank stupidity on this forum are nothing short of vomit-inducing.
