Of course......that's why Calzaghe clearly doesn't want to fight him at the veteran stage of his career

Joe C also claims Pavlik was offered the chance to fight him after the Lacy fight and after Pavlik-Taylor I

Sure he can do that but he has to risk eating a big one two from Pavlik. Those shots can really hurt people. :yep

jc probably offered that just so he can boast like he is now, everybody knew there was a rematch clause in the contract and it had been activated

Jones has a Glass Jaw and I would not be surprised if he gets KOed by Calzaghe. If Glen Johnson could KO Jones so can Calzaghe.

Calzaghe can't really hit like that now....a TKO with Jones on the ropes taking a lot of shots is a possibilty though

Or the fight was offered to Pavlik in Wales and wanted no part of it after seeing him destroy Lacy

jc -rjj is forgone conclusion in my one, jones outclasses him early and middle then either gets stopped or outclassed enough for calzaghe to win the fight, either way Calzaghes getting this W but it is a waste of time, calzaghe should fight pavlik to prove his doubter wrong and if gets a W against kp he will certainly go down as a top 5p4p fighter of the last decade

I'm surprised he gets so much stick.....Lacy, Kessler, Eubank, Hopkins are very decent......and a good mix, 2 were vets and 2 were in their primes

No becuase the the rematch was for a non title north of 160 he could have taken the Calzaghe fight ..Its the same reason the fight with Hopkins is at lt heavy ..These fighst can be negotiated !

I think that he has a shot, if he can control the pace of the fight.

Care to take a permanent ban bet? If the "Glass Jawed" Jones gets KO'd i will never come back here again, and you sir do the same if he doesnt. I'm tired of your ****. Take the bet like a man or stop talking out of your ass.

Joe by decision. Jones is shot. Hopefully, Jones will retire if he loses.

I am not on about the general public looking years late at a resume that reads .. Ko over Hopkins and RJJ both faded (non the less ledgends) I am on about the true die hard fans that know what they see on a fighters resume and being true to himself. I understand financiallyit makes sence, and its low risk.. But that is why i wanted to bring the subject up.. Joe would prove more boxing and ATG standings wise if he'd fight younger and more happening fighters as the end of his career approaches. You get me?

Yes there is money and good money..

Yes its a slightly easier option in comparrison to a Pavlik or Taylor event.

Its exactly the reason why i raised it as a conversation topic..

I am well aware as to why he is doing it.. I am just playing Devils advocate to see what everyone thought ...

Joe is not what he was 5 years ago, and neither is Roy..

Maybe it will be a closer fight than i first thought..

I hope so now that its all but a done deal..

    God bless..
