Joe Calzaghe very disrespected on here, lets here some Boxers thoughts on him.

Watch the Kessler fight and listen to Steward creaming his pants over Calzaghe and calling him a very special fighter.

Also mentioned on many occasions Calzaghe "punching with authority"

 

Calzaghe causes the biggest split on esb, there really is nobody like him to split boxing fans.

 

Joe was Great! If he were an American he'd be an Icon.

Your posts in this thread were flagrantly at odds with the assessments of the fighters i mentioned.

His biggest Win was mikkel Kessler and that's not saying much. He spent most of his career fighting his backyeard hand picked bums.
Stepped up in his last fights against senior citizen and got controversial win.
He punches like amateur, his only weapon is his relenltess pressure, million amateur looking slap punches, cant scope his style for a ****, it is always the same coming on you like horny dog.
Joe cant Throw nice, hard, clean punches, cant ko anyone, :-(

I respect him thou, but **** him, he gets too much attention being such a con man.

i had previously seen all these quotes at some stage,yet what counts on esb is the opinion of dinamita,danny rand and scar over the likes of SRL and benn etc apparently..

thats why i dont take this place serious anymore,too much agenda/bigotry/bias and downright denial to have any credence to a serious fan,now calzaghe beat every single fighter they put in front of him young and old.

the praise is rightly deserved,and dawson has gone up in my estimation.

 

furthermore..

what really irks people is the fact that after unifying the division and rightly wanting the money spinners,he goes to america and beats there 2 greats,both supposedly shot to pieces and too old,overlooking the fact that joe was going on 37 himself, and the fact that though the americans are old in boxing terms neither was as "past it" as previously thought...you only have to see there previous and post calzaghe fights to see that i.e tarver/pavlik...trinidad/sheika and lacy.

what they lacked in reflex and speed they make up in ringcraft and technique,

now i know that hurts a few of you but it is fact.real fans know this and show does srl

 

Calzaghe was an amazing fighter. But not as good as prime Hopkins and definately not prime RJJ.
