calzaghe wouldn't outwork and outlast a guy ward's age?

when it comes to these kind of threads, why is it a calzaghe who's out of prime and has the problems with his hands?

is it because they have never seen a prime calz, and shouldn't be talking about the subject because they don't know **** all?

is it to suit their WEAK arguments?

even the old calz beats ward. he found a way to beat a better and more awkward fighter in hopkins....what makes you think he can't beat ward?

he had a struggle with an old bika in a close fight, beat a fighter in green that's not worth a scratch, beat a kessler that had lost a few steps with cheating and dirty tactics and should of been DQ, plus a crooked ref and HOME TOWN judges, and abraham who had lost his last two.

i don't see anything from ward that causes calzaghe the problems you all say. so stop talking ****.

Bad style match-up for Ward. Calzaghe has the speed, footwork, angles and the output to keep the fight on the outside where he has a significant advantage. Andre is still top notch at distance but far better on the inside, a distance he'd never be able to bring the fight. He also picks his punches far too carefully and lacks solid power to negate Joe's effective volume. Calzaghe WUD 117-111

You have got to be one of the most retarted people i have ever come across.
Unless you think the thread is asking who would win now, if calzaghe makes a return.

Even if Calzaghe returned now and got himself to 80% of what he was against B-Hop (which was about 80% of what he was for Kessler, which was about 80% of what he was for Lacy)

I'd give him the advantage and edge over Ward. He's not going to shy away from running his head into Ward's face when Ward does it to him, He's not going to shy away from the rough housing in the clinches and arm holding. He's likely still quicker with the hands and if he can get his endurance up to the level it was even for RJJ, he's just going to be too consistently awkward for Ward.

Ward has already shown issues with his chin and hasn't really had relentless pressure pushed on him. I think the guy is great and maybe when he's 35 or so, we can have a proper retrospective but looking at the way he beat Kessler vs the way Calzaghe beat Kessler gives you all the answers you need.

Calzaghe can fight from the outside, from the inside, rough, clean, awkward, pure - Ward has one style, when that gets figured out, he'll struggle.

Ward is one win away from pissing all over Joe Calzaghe's legacy.

Anyways, Ward wins this one easy. With all the pissing and moaning afterwards from Calzaghe fans raining down for weeks on end.

lol, Ward beats a guy with 24 title fights, 46 wins, 0 losses, "easy"

And you're talking about pissing and moaning?

Hard to judge since Calzaghe has never fought a prime young elite opponent besides Kessler and Ward had a far easier time with Kessler albeit a more faded Kessler making me think that the Kessler of the Calzaghe fight woulda made it close with Ward while still losing by similar scores that he lost to Calzaghe. I think Joe would find a way to win a close decision. Great fight though.

Calzaghe easily to be honest. When have you ever seen Ward in against someone with workrate and quality? Ward's still relatively young, and may go on to be great, but current Ward vs prime Calzaghe is a no brainer.

Cal, not too one sided, but Joey Slaps would win.
