Not necessarily sure Joe is the GOAT at SMW? But it has been a few years, and he deserves to be in the conversation anyway.

Joe has to much size, speed and workrate for Canelo and enough skill and just enough power to win this...personally I think 9-3 type decision for Calzaghe

I'm just bringing up the fact that Calzaghe hit the canvas vs a guy not known for punching power (Hopkins) and a RJJ that was clearly over 5 years removed from being at his best. Of course Calzaghe's size advantage is a factor, and he would give Canelo problems due to his activity but when it comes to chin Calzaghe's chin was checked by 40-something Hopkins and 39 year old past prime RJJ.

Canelo is a much bigger puncher than Hopkins ever was and RJJ did not have the kind of power he had in his prime when he faced Calzaghe. Calzaghe does not have the chin of a GGG and Canelo certainly has the power to drop Calzaghe if 40 something Hopkins and past it RJJ could. On top of that Canelo is slick I doubt Calzaghe's punches would cause Canelo any trouble. The only way I could see Calzaghe winning is by just out voluming Canelo and eeking his way to a close disputed decision. Canelo on the other hand despite being the smaller guy has the power to drop and hurt Calzaghe.

How so ? How do you rate Calzaghe's chin ? Who has a better chin : GGG or Calzaghe? The punches that GGG took I don't think Joe would be able to absorb. I broke down this matchup very accurately, I even said that Calzaghe might win a decision on volume, as he got very favorable scoring vs B-Hop and RJJ. But as far as who's more chinny, based on his last two fights it's clearly Calzaghe.

I'm asking you straight up : Who has a better chin Calzaghe or GGG ? Who has shown that they can take bigger punches without going down ?

If you are asking who would win Calzaghe vs Canelo you have to ask yourself if Calzaghe would be able to take the kind of bombs that GGG took vs Canelo. I have my doubts that Joe could take the kind of shots GGG took. Calzaghe folded like a deck of cards in round 1 vs RJJ, he was all out of it. Imagine what Canelo could do with a well timed counter like the ones he landed on GGG. I could see Calzaghe getting hit with one of Canelo's signature counter punch bombs and Joe hitting the deck with a thud.

I follow a lot of boxers too. Always have. I am not as huge of a Canelo fan as you think I am. I just am in the minority since most of this board rides GGG's nuts !

Who has a better chin? If I was a bettering man, i'd say canelo. But he has NOT fought guys the size or likes of Hopkins yet. Joe C fought several bangers at 168. Do you even have any idea about Joe C's career? I highly doubt you've seen much of him, other than what you quickly looked for online.

So the assumption that because he was dropped by RJJ and Hopkins, suggests canelo would do the same shows you don't have a freakin clue how boxing works. Boxing doesn't work like a video game, which is how you address it.

First of all I asked you who has a better chin : Calzaghe or GGG . You're answer was Canelo lmao. Let me try again : who has a better chin Lance : Calzaghe or GGG?

If Canelo landed the kind of punches he landed on GGG . . . on Calzaghe do you think Calzaghe could take those punches?

    misread it.

Better chin? Seeing as one of these two has never tasted the canvas, take a guess brainiac. But they fought in DIFFERENT divisions. And two divisions that have been a historically difficult jump for most boxers, 160 to 168. But you didn't know that of course.

Could Joe C take Canelo's punches? Of course he could... good grief... remind me when canelo starts KOing top guys even at 160...
