The punch connected, before that Calzaghe was hit by a massive jab right in the nose that put him off balance. After being hit with that jab, he started to lean low to his left as Roy was winding up with a big right hook. Calzaghe leaned right into that. No one ever talks about the jab and how that started that sequence. Where was Joe leaning to ? That jab had him off balance causing him to lean into RJJ's forearm during the punch.

 

Stylistically Calzaghe is probably the worst opponent you could pick from history to match Canelo. Calzaghe would be Canelo's worst nightmare, totally wrong for him.

I am glad 94% of this forum have the common sense to see that Calzaghe would win.
