Nevertheless, the point you cannot ignore, which has been made, is that Froch is true to his word fighting the best, he would never wait till Calzaghe and that generation had turned forty until he called them out, he wanted them from day one.

You cannot ever deny this, and that is the point I am making.

Joe would be too fast and he would be able to take any shots Carl throws at him.....the pace and speed would be too much for Carl who is slower and leaves too many openings for Joe to capitalize on.

I never gave a **** about Lacy. I thought he had enough to take out an amateurish protected slapper. I'm not ashamed to be incorrect about one fight, boxing is unpredictable to a point and I'm not consistently walking into closed doors like your sorry ass.

I would pick Joe UD, but we can not write off Froch so easy, one thing is for sure Froch would walk straight through Joes punches so it could have been difficult for sure, and Froch is far better than 95% of Joes opposition!!!

Yes and yes.....While he couldnt hurt Froch Joe's accumilation would slow him down and Joe as we all know has supreme stamina to keep up a really fast pace...I think the angles Joe creates would be a problem for Carl also...but it would not be an easy fight as Carl always comes to fight and is tough as nails.

calzaghe would have won wide UD no doubt, with carls face a mess at the end of it, think froch even admitted on ringside that calzaghe would have beaten him on points

Agree, because you fight great fighters and lose doesnt make you great, would calzaghe had been in trouble from any of froch's opponents, with the exception of ward in USA, no.

I love these responses where Joe would be too fast ,Wasn't Bute going to be too fast ? Funny I didn't see Joe's blinidng speed all that much against Kessler and Hopkins or even David Reid ..Froch would have give Joe all types of propblems with his jab which nuetralizes speed !

Froch stopped Bute, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Joe Calzaghe would dance on Froch's face, ok? Yes, that is right. Calzaghe W 12, in a 116-112 or 117-111 type of decision.

Passing someone in legacy does not mean you are better head to head, still I think Calzaghe has a better legacy. Eubank, Hopkins, Lacy, Kessler, old RJJ are solid, never lost.

Calzaghe outpoints him 116-112. Froch would be baffled by his workrate.

Also, true one common opponent doesn't tell all but Kessler got beaten convincingly by Calzaghe and Froch lost. That does say something amongst the elites.
