Where did you get that figure from?
Pudwill was a late sub, so did he get that money for a sub?

but you hardly would see a great deal in that with your superfluous points. You'd go as far as to change the nationality of your hero in order to convince yourself that are right, so why would Imperial even reply to you?

Dont get me wrong, I think Joe Cal was a solid WBO SMW champ, I support him through and through because hes a Brit like me.

Neither fighter has a good resume. Eubank faced the better opponents.

He wouldn't go near Liles or Ottke because he'd have probably lost, wouldn't give Eubank, Reid or Hopkins rematches, oh and Lacy and Kessler were average, one-dimensional operators.

cant blame people for not fighting Otkke, who wants to get stitched up in Germany?

Ottke was the prince of cheating ****, anyone who says otherwise is lying for life.

:patsch Calzaghe beat the fighter who KOd Liles.
Unless you are trolling, you know that Ottke avoided Calzaghe and Ottkes trainer openly admitted Ottke didnt want to know.
You could say Eubank avoided Toney in that case.
Did Eubank call for a rematch?
Reid wouldnt give Calzaghe a shot when he was WBC champ and lost his next fight after, so hardly building to it.
Hopkins dropped to the floor, held throughout etc. Why would you want to see that again?
Did Eubank give Malinga a rematch

I dont rate Eubank nearly as high as the brits do( to only supprt calzaghe beating him). Calzaghe easily wins this. Eubank wasnt this legend. He was a good fighter. Nothing more nothing less.

Calzaghe was never a champion at 175, lineal (that was Zsolt Erdei) or otherwise.

So you agree Jones Jnr was never lineal champ then?
Either way, Calzaghe beat the fighter who became Lineal champ and owned the Ring title at LHW who was considered Lineal champ by the ring who made up the status

Yes Eubank asked for a Calzaghe rematch. Yes Eubank said he'd defend the title against Malinga in South Africa if Malinga could defeat Benn.

I'm british and that's exactley my take on him. Toughness and durability wise you could maybe make a case that he was up there with the best, but overall he certainly is not.

Don't talk ****. Benn was clearly more skilled than Wharton, and only took a brief count of 2 when Wharton stunned him slightly with his left hook, then followed up with 2 disgraceful rabbit punches which sent Benn to his knees complaining of being fouled.

My thoughts exactly. I don't think Eubank was ever a top 10 p4p guy, and has no victories over hall of famers. Apart from the embryonic early 90s when it was the newest and weakest division in boxing, he was never the top guy at 168.

Calzaghe for all his sins (there's probably dozens of 50 page threads already if we want to get into that) cleaned out one division, beat the top dog and first-ballot hall of famer in another, and went unbeaten for over a decade as a pro.

You can drive a sherman tank through the holes in the argument for Calzaghe being an ATG, but he was clearly a great fighter and better than Eubank. Proved it in the ring (although neither were in their prime), and his names and numbers stack up better as well.
