If these guys were the same size, who do you think would win this fight? Me and a couple of friends taled about this fight and too bad it can never happen. lI think Calzaghe would beat Floyd and i'm basing it on the fact that Floyd had worlds of trouble with De La Hoya, and if it weren't for the later rounds, De La Hoya wins that fight easy when he stopped throwing his jab and got a little tired. Calzaghe wouldn't tire like Hoya did, so I this fight is lookin like the De La Hoya/Mayweather bout, but a more energized version of De La Hoya.

De La Hoya has a comparable style to Calzaghe and plus Floyd has more trouble with south poles.(judah fight fro example)

There fluid combination punching is similiar, but the diffenrence in both is one is a southpole with a higher workrate and one is right hander.

The only similarities De La Hoya and Joe have are that they both boxers.

An odd thread but if i had to pick then Floyd.

Calzaghe's work rate would give Floyd trouble but i think he would prevail. JLC put Floyd under great pressure but he still managed to overcome it, although i think Joe would give him more problems as Joe is a more intelligent fighter than JLC.

The DLH fight shouldn't be used in this arguement. Floyd was fighting well above his natural weight so he can't afford to open up and throw as many combinations as he could when he fought at the lower weights. The 147+ Floyd is no were near as impressive as the 130-135 Floyd. If you are to judge who would win this fight if both fighters were naturally the same weight then you have to use the 130-135 Mayweather.

Sounds good, but I think Joe's speed and punch output would offset a lot of floyds ability to turn direction off his as much as he does. He also doesn't deal with too much pressure on him very well, as witnessed in the JLC fight and Ricky Hatton fight and both of those fighters are limited compared to Calzaghe.
