No way in hell. GGG is a very good, maybe great fighter.BUT... Calzaghe is on a different level, there is his style (The Cal-Vinci code) plus he's naturally bigger.

Golovkin getting mentioned in the same sentence as Calzaghe when his best win is Macklin, El Chicano is definitely his promoter

Calzaghe was always to scared to try to crack the Sven Ott-Vinci code.

If two 40 year olds can drop him and one take him life and death.....Trippa G KO's him....could look worse than Pac TKO6

In fact Trippa could even hit him with a slap like Slappy does and put him on ***** St.

well, no one wins, why? Because Joe is re-ti-red and starting these threads with active fighters against Joe Calzaghe are a lil bit neurotic to say the least, not to say re-tar-ted.

Calzaghe wins in a one sided beatdown...

    See Calzaghe-Lacy.. Similar outcome.

Everyone was saying the same thing about Lacy's power...

This GGG hype is ridiculous.. It is just as bad as the Lacy hype except Lacy beat better fighters..

Haha I remember when Triple G and not so average Joe were round my house on a rainy Sunday and we wanted to go down the park but it was too wet so we had a go on my Sega Mega Drive gaming system and I had Street fighter 2. So anyway I said that the two lads could have a go and Calzaghe went E. Honda and GGG went Ken and they was on that harbour level. Anyway, Calzaghe kept doing that Hundred hand slap move with E. Honda and GGG just kept jumping into his really fast slaps and couldn't do anything about it and he was even trying to do that dragon punch and everything but Calzaghe just sat there doing that move and in the end the rain stopped and we went to the park and and GGG was showing off by doing a slide down the really big hill.

You would have to be a real hater of Calzaghe to pick Golovkin for this one.
Why would anyone think a small MW who hasnt beaten anyone of note in 29 fights would be able to beat the greatest SMW ever who also went up to LHW

    Calzaghe

Thats the thing with hype, its massive and then everyone is so wise after the event. It was the same with Bute. Truth is Lacy and Bute were good fighters who seemed damaged after a loss.
Golovkin has yet to have that step up fight and there doesnt look anyone at MW for it

    Very true..

Lacy did actually have great power, he had trouble keeping sparing partners... It didn't phase Calzaghe though.

Wonder what Lacy could have been had he not stepped up and took on a fighter of Calzaghe's caliber so early? Funny, people were thinking the opposite before the fight, that Calzaghe was the one stepping up to take on the better fighter.

I don't think GGG would stand a chance, I need to see him in with better opposition before I go comparing him H2H with the greats.
