that Toney was so much shaper and better conditioned than the one RJJ out pointed, however admittedly I overlooked him when I made that statement. RJJ I might favor due to his mobility but not confidently. I do see Toney as the better overall fighter looking back at both careers though
A fading Barkley was utterly made for Toney. He looked great but for me the same Toney would have been completely outclassed by RJJ, again.
Not much better, i agree. It's worth pointing out however that he was fading. Benn stopped him in but a single round almost 3 years earlier.
That version of Barkley was shot to hell. Washington turned the trick soon after. And I was able see the Maske defeat a year later. It was obvious he had no business in with a world class fighter. Not that I necessarily disagree with what you say, just that Barkley may not have proven quite as much as you claim.
In part, Barkley looked so bad because Toney was so great that night. It is easy to say now, Barkley was shot.He had previously beaten Hearns and Van Horn. Anyway, the point is that version of Toney would beat Calzaghe and make the Jones fight much more competitive
that is only your opinion. The objective facts are that Toney was weight drained that night. Looked slowed and less sharper than usual
