Cotto lost because he lacked stamina and can't defend. Calzaghe's stamina is superb, and his defence is better than Cotto's. I don't see the comparison.

He has been fighting bigger guys than Hagler all his career and been down for about 6 seconds in over 20 championship bouts and has never actually looked in trouble, even when he went down. The guy has a good chin, no ****ing question about it.

That's because there isn't one. Everything looks like Cotto-Margarito now.

Even if Calzaghe lost which is feasible it wouldn't look like that at all. There is nothing in the styles or common weaknesses that says it would.

Hagler is a 5'9 1/2 career 160. Calzaghe is a 5'11 career 168 who also fought at 175. Calzaghe would be the bigger man, slightly. But I don't see size being an issue in this one anyway, Hagler is just a cut above Joe.

I didnt mean to compare cotto to calzaghe I meant to compare Haggler to Margarito in the cotto fight which will be the same in the calzaghe fight, no respect for absolutely anything he can do

Fair enough then, I don't think Calzaghe has the power to trouble Marvelous either.

people foreget marvelous was way past his prime when he met leonard which is precisely why leonard fought him in the first place, Haggler at his very best was quick, solid boxer puncher with exeptional abillity to fight on the inside or outside and equally adept at fighting southpaw and orthodox, haggler apart from a few nights off was undefeated his whole career was way way over the hill when he fought ray leonard

    Are you ******ed?

Calzaghe not the bigger man? Just because Hopkins managed to starve himself to 160 the day before a fight and packed on a lot of muscle after going up to LHW how does that equate to a 5'9" guy being bigger than a 6" guy who never fought lower than 168 with day before weigh in. Had Calzaghe fought at the same time as Hagler he would have been a career LHW. If Hagler fought now he'd be a light middleweight.. a full 3 divisions south of where Calzaghe is champ right now.

By all means argue that Haglers durability and skill take this one but dont try and bull**** anyone with him being the bigger guy.

    Hagler wins, and decisively so.
