Bailey , nobody beat him , because none of his 46 fights was against the greatest middle of all time.

Its also a myth that Hagler was small , Hagler was just under 5 10 , and an inch shorter than JC, but actually had a longer reach. He is said to be small because he kept his weight down between fights which meant that he could fight close to 70 fights and never look overtrained in any of them.

JC is great , he really is , but Hagler , I still stand by my first point , would go after JC from the start and stop him in 6.

This is no disrespect to JC , but Hagler is just better in every department.

Calzaghe got stamina - Hagler had all the rest.
Marvin Hagler is in his own class up among Sugar Ray Robinson, Roberto Duran, Archie Moore and Joe Louis.
The Calzaghes, the Super Sixers and Mayweathers did and does well in their own time - but take a look at Hagler handling Thomas Hearns and you´ve got an all-time winner.

Huge fan of both. Haglers the better boxer. Calzaghe's naturally bigger & faster. Close but Hagler

Thats enough out of you, Eubank stopped Benn in their 1st fight fair n square, if thats what you call Eubank being handled then fair enough.

So the size difference doesn't seem significant at either 164 or 168, are you guys saying that Calzaghe is simply a better fighter than Hagler?

Calslappy waits for Hagler to turn 40, then, being the younger man, still loses to a fighter that is just better than him in every way. Hagler is just too damn much for him. Watching Slappy fight makes the eyes hurt......

I rate Calzaghe but Hagler would stop him mid rounds.

Depends on how Hagler approaches it. I think if he is aggressive at the right moments and then goes in to search and destroy mode he stops him mid fight.
