Nice one RealIzm a noob I may be but a realistic one who has followed boxing live for 20 years and has a vast boxing collection from all the best fighters in history which I have studied throughly I just simply know what im talking about unlike the majorty of esb posters (CHJ espically) I just keep it real bro just like your forum name
No I think he doesnt like nuthuggers who say he is the best fighter of the last 25years or all time doesnt mean joe is a bad fighter probably the best suppermiddle ever but in a **** poor division dont make you sugar ray robinson I like joe hes very good but I slag off the people who rate him so highly and say he will beat all the all time greats it pisses me off
calzaghe most likely. SRL was past it @ SMW, far from his best form. p4p i'd take SRL at his peak no doubt.
at 168 Calzaghe knocks Leonard out. and no people Leonard did not KTFO Hearns in the second fight, he won a controversial decision. And he did NOT dominate Hagler, he won a controversial decision.
No warrior the truth is I like Joe, only wish he would've done more with his career, which I blame on Warren mainly. I give him alot of credit for fighting Jones but would give him amazing acclaim for stepping in the ring with Pavlik, he could even lose, losing to Pavlik in a close fight would solidify his legacy for decades to come as opposed to winning a close fight with Jones:deal Even Joes diehards will admit that blatant truth:deal
i agree with you on the 1st part,he waited too long to step up&i also blame most of it on warren,as for pavlik i think rjj even at this stage of his career has more chance of beating joe than pavlik right now.
The reality is though warrior that Pav and Roy both have an equal chance of beating Joe..To be honest if it were Pav fighting Roy I would be worried, he is still the master, which is why Joe fans should be just as worried....Hopkins is a non issue really, Pavlik will unleash hell on this old man and most educated know this. Hopkins will be Kod by Pavlik, however he won't get much credit for obvious reasons. On the other hand if Joe beats Jones by a serious wide margin he will be hailed and we both know it. Jones is elite and this is arguably his last fight as well so don't expect the sleeper performance he had against Trinidad, expect the Roy Jones that handed a beatdown to Woods:yep
I would favor Ray. However, he does not have greater speed and definitely not higher output. He is imo. technically better than Joe and that is where he wins. Kessler for example is technically better than Joe but Joe's speed and mostly output just won the fight for Joe. He would probably not be able to do this to Ray because Ray is very active (not quite as much as Joe though) and probably just as fast as Ray. Therefore Ray wins i think.
ive always believed rjj even now is more dangerous to joe than bhop or pavlik,as they say styles make fights.
This is a joke right? What did Sugar Ray do north of middleweight? He struggled against Donny Lalond for goodness sake. Joe a fully fledged supermiddle would have murdered Ray and would then have been sent to the electric chair!
You're right and Jones is the ****ing master, we both know it, infact almost all of us know it, so we can somehow stop pretending that Joe has the edge here, as he doesnt, not age, not speed, not timing, not power is on Joes side, it's on the masters side of Roy Jones Jr.:deal Sure age wise Joe is younger, but is he more fit? Now we realize Roy weighed in at 169 for his last fight, the first time in years.....so we know Roy is back, focused and ready for Joe.........Roy still has the god given ability he has always had, but what does Joe have that would trouble this prodigy????
well rjj is one of my fave fighters ever but im slightly favouring joe to take a close decision but i think roy will give him a hell of a fight.
