Yeah, but didn't Hopkins beat Pascal and get a few wins after Calzaghe?

He was hardly shot and that's pretty evident to see.

The only thing which truly left him was his power. He had a bit of pop at middleweight.

Hopkins didn't degress that much physically. He's an alien. The doctors said he had the body of a 25 year old. He must be doing something right.

I think it's just bias by big Calzaghe fans who thinks he beats everybody in the history of boxing.

Whenever a new fighter comes along and dominates they will always say Calzaghe will beat him.

A prime Roy Jones Jr = Calzaghe beats him

Andre Ward cleans out the division = Calzaghe beats him

Kovalev destroys the belt holders = Calzaghe beats him

Whoever comes along they will say he will beat him.

Calzaghe was dropped by a shot RJJ,Bernard Hopkins who has never been known to have KO power and feather fisted Byron Mitchel all you in vision is wet dreams when it comes to Calzaghe. The reality is Kovalev knocks him out !! But we all know he never wanted tough fights so why would he risk it anyway !

fighters can get knocked down, its when they get up that counts and Calzaghe was never on wobbly legs or having to hold to survive. He was up and attacking. Look how many times J M Marquez has gone down!
Jones after the Calzaghe fight was lucky not to have a KD over a world rated CW.
Hopkins didnt hurt Calzaghe, he just caught Calzaghe square on, but are you trying to say Hopkins had Calzaghe on bambi legs :patsch. He didnt. Hopkins got put down by Pascal twice in one fight. In fact Hopkins has gone down more times than Calzaghe.
I guess you never watched B Mitchell because he was always noted for his power and I recall what I think was the Ring mag, saying about how he adds excitement to the division. I think that was after he KOd F Liles. So i doubt you watched B Mitchell
Sadly for you Imperial, you always walk into a finishing counter from me :hi:

You think Calzaghe would of jumped at the chance to face a brutal power punching LHW with good boxing skills, when he was a career 168lber. Then its you who cannot be taken seriously.

I recall when Calzaghe was at 168lbs, he wanted a shot at the LHW title, when he was offered a shot, he took it, so struggle to see where you are coming from. He beat the top SMWs and some more accomplished than Kovalev.
Would Kovalev be looking for a dangerous fighter like Calzaghe, knowing he could be held to a draw by a MW?
Its hindsight. We wont know and have to accept other opinions

What 40 year old did Calzaghe face?
How old was Hopkins when Kovalev fought him?
Look forward to the answer
