What rounds did you give to Hopkins? I think Hopkins probably landed the single best punches of the fight, but he didn't win near enough rounds... I had to look really hard for reasons to give Hopkins any rounds past the 3rd.
I mentioned Lacy. My bad for omitting Kessler. IMO it was Zags finest hour v a very good top rated fighter. Bika, Mitchell, Reid and Woodhall are you serious??? GTFOOH with that nonsense. He fought RJ and Hop when they were well past it and he BARELY s****ed by Hop. Zags also ducked a surging Glencoffe Johnson.
Woodhall had only lost his title by a close decision and had beaten WBC champ Malinga, a world rated former SMW champ, a future SMW champ and Branco who was world rated and became a LHW champ all in a short career. Reid beat a SMW champ away, a top rated SMW in Wharton, a future MW champ who went on to beat K Holmes, also the fighter who Kessler last beat to win a SMW title (Magee), Reid beat him when he was undefeated and prime and many feel Reid beat undefeated SMW great Ottke. Mitchell was a 2 time SMW champ who had beaten top SMW champ Liles, future SMW champ Siaca twice, a fighter who beat Joppy, drew with Girard who became a 2 weight champ and lost a close debateable decision to Ottke where many felt he won. Most of those have a better resume than most of the top 10 today. As for G Johnson, you are wrong. Johnson lost the boxoff against Sheika. the winner was mandatory which is why sheika got the shot. Later They would have fought in 2004 if Johnson had waited instead of fighting Jones. Johnson told Dan Goosen to forget about Joe. Yet he came running back to Calzaghe when Joe became a superstar after whooping Lacy. BBC Tuesday, 8 June, 2004 But Johnson is adamant Calzaghe has lost his chance, saying: "The fight is off. I'm not interested in fighting Joe Calzaghe any more.Johnson refused to wait for the fight to be rescheduled on 04,fact. Calzaghe agreed to fight Johnson in September 06 on the condition that Johnson beat Woods in their 3rd fight. However Johnson lost and missed his chance. Calzaghe was ringside for this fight - some scared ducker hey. Why do people leave out this information when discussing this issue? and I have a hard time believing Calzaghe would duck an old journeyman like Johnson to fight a younger, much more dangerous Mikkel Kessler!!! and yes Calzaghe WAS injury prone. he was notorious for hand problems.....Many of his fights including Lacy had to be rescheduled. He still ended up fighting them. He wanted to reschedule the Johnson fight but like i saidJ ohnson said he was "done" with Calzaghe. everybody was beating johnson before he popped up on the hbo screen and knockout over jones jr also not once throughout calzaghes reign was johnson ranked in the ringmag SMW top 10!!
HAHA Bika - was green and stragight off a tv show, albeit hes still a game, decent opponent for a title fight. Reid was not prime, but still its a good defence for a world title ---- had joe actually won - many think he lost it. I think it was a draw personally. Without his Cardiff ref/judges setup, Joe got exposed. Mitchell - was about to retire, having got destroyed in the NABF title fight earlier, that's not prime. Though he still arguably would have been good enough in this diminished form to have beaten Joe Cal if not for Joes ref. WOODHALL??? - he was considering retiring with a back injury and had fitness problems at the time he fought joe. Joes only prime world level opps were Kessler, Lacy and arguably Bika and Reid. That's 3 valid good defences and one very subjective draw, plus a string of close to national level defences to make up his 21 defences.
Mitchell didnt lose any NABF title fight, prior to fighting Calzaghe. This once again shows what a joke of a poster Herol is :hi:
Delirious. Big problem for Slappy Joe fans, CompuBox and HBO was that actual fight video doesn't show that the Welshmen even landed more than 50 let alone 200 or three hundred.
only a psychic professor Xavier thinks that HE KNOWS ACCURATELY WHAT HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE N THE WORLD ARE THINKING. Or the deluded fool of course. Bailoss, are you Professor Xavier?!
Backed out? Hearsay or post the details. I would probably not take a fight either if I knew the opponent was getting more than I was, but had fought nobody of note. How many times did Calzaghe duck Glen Johnson? Was it three? Then as soon as Johnson moves on, Calzaghe is suddenly fit and healthy to fight again.
not to mention Kessler until he got injured, then joe was all whoopy about fighting him with his Cardiff mafia behind him to award him a ko win in case Kessler floored him.
why is it a problem for Calzaghe fans? Calzaghe won and if he wasnt landing, I doubt Hopkins would have been looking for time out and wanting to hold . Still there are the facts detailed for you :hi:
HAHA Bailoss why you reply to someone who has you on ignore fool. I only replied to you because you got quoted by someone who was making you a tool. don't lose your cool.
Think you have lost it. I dont have anyone on ignore. Seem to think it was you, who has claimed you have people on ignore, yet have indirectly answered. Now thats a proper tool :yep
