How would Joe fare against the most elite fighters from 168-175? At 168 Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank (prime), Steve Collins, Gerald McClellan, Roy Jones Jr (1994-96), James Toney. At 175 Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Gene Tunney, Bob Foster, Michael Spinks, Michael Moorer, Bob Fitzsimmons, Roy Jones Jr (1997-2002), Tommy Loughran.
At 168 vs. Benn Win by UD or Benn KO Rd 7 vs. Eubank Win by UD vs. Collins Win by UD Vs. Mcllelan Win by UD vs. RJJ Loss by TKO Rd 5 vs. Toney ??? dunno probably win by decision maybe split.:deal
Joe would win some, lose some against the 168 best, but he would get embarrassed by the best of 175. Too much talent at 175.
Loses to Toney, and Roy at 168. Beats the rest at 168. Loses to all the 175 pounders you listed... and plenty more that you didnt list.
I've actually read a few of your posts which I've agreed with. Just didn't want to give you the satisfaction of recieving props :good
We really dont know, he never really tested himself againts the best in there prime. Definitely loses to Jones Jr though.
dont think so his earlier fights saw him struggle against richie woodhall a lesser operator than the names mentioned. I would of loved to see Ben and joe.c. :good
His record at 168 would still be great. I pick him over all those guys with the exception of RJJ. The Toney fight would be close but in a similar fashion to the Hopkins fight, I see Calzaghe just throwing enough leather to take the rounds despite JT having the cleaner punches. At 175 I actually think he would get embarrased by some of those guys. I give him next to no chance against the like of Spinks, Moore, Charles and Foster. He might have a chance against Moorer, his calibre of opposition at 175 isn't great.
I agree with the general consensus here, though I'd add that a prime Hopkins fighting at 168 would be the favorite.
