roy has faced fighters with more punching power than calzaghe but no one as good as calzaghe.unless you think a green hopkins,a lazy fighter in toney and john ruiz are better fighters than calzaghe.

It would not be hard to come up with a list of 30 middleweights and light heavies that would be favored to kick Joe's Arse. Joe's chances against fighters above 40 are much better.

The fights at 168 would be competative and i could see Joe winning most of them, there is a chance that Gerald knocks him out early but if he doesn't he loses a UD. Roy would dominate probably UD or late stoppage. The others i see Joe beating. At 175 he would lose badly to every fighter listed, very badly.

quiter?when did calzaghe quit in a fight?don't you mean retire my sweet child.he was 37 years old.can you compile a list of fighters in history who were on top of there game at that age?you and calzaghe are bums ******?you don't even know me, how do you know i'm a bum?you don't know jack **** about boxing?i know a whole lot more than you my friend.hearns would murder that quiter?hearns was a welter and calzaghe a supermiddle, thats 3 weights up,calzaghe would simply be too big for him.you say a prime hopkins would beat calzaghe.you mean the prime hopkins that got offered a career high pay day of 4 mill only to pull out the next day claiming he wanted double.that prime hopkins?look how he look against a super past it jones?it looked like he dominated jones while making fun of him with his arms down by his side, thats what he looked like.

This guy...........you do know that Hearns owned belts at 168,175,and 190 dont you?back when belts actually meant something, he beat better comp than joe did at 168 and 175 as a matter of fact guys like Virgil Hill who was the undefeated real champ at 175 in his prime with 10 title defenses that was better than Calzaghe and some other beasts that would have whipped the floor with Joe,you clearly dont know **** about boxing go brush up on your skills rookie.:hi::nono

Toney was not known as a lazy Toney when Roy fought him... He was one of the most skilled fighters at the time when Roy moved up in weight and dominated him.

Green Hopkins, Roy was just as green when they fought, It was Hopkins' physical prime had the same amount of pro fights and had a good amateur career as well.

Yeah, I would go ahead and say that version of Toney that Roy beat was near as good as Calzaghe, not the same style by no means, but had done great things at that point, and did great things after.

Hearns beat Hill at LHW, a future Hall of fame fighter pretty close to his prime, can you say that about Calzaghe????

    Didn't think so.

toney was a skilled fighter but he was still lazy,he was known as that through out the boxing world and he was weight drained when roy fought him due to his lazyness,if you watched boxing back then you would of known that.and saying hopkins had a great amateur career proves you were'nt watching boxing back then and that you don't really know what your talking about do you.you should stop because your beginning to look very silly.

I watched boxing back then, the first I had remembered about Toney being weight drained was after he got embarrassed by Roy, and had to make up for all that **** he talked before he fought Roy... He was knocking out good fighters left and right before he fought Roy and hyped the fight up saying he would kick Roy's ass. He was one of the best athletes at the time, prime fighter and in the top 3 pound for pound... Stop trying to take away from Roy's victory just because Calzaghe has nothing even close to that magnitude anywhere on his resume.

Hopkins' amateur record was 95-4... I bet you didn't know that did you?

Roy's was something like 115-13, not quite sure on Roy's numbers.

Toney's was 31-2, so if anything... You were not watching boxing.
