froch - UD Calzaghe , too quick and outworks him, Froch has a few moments but not enought to get the win

Ward - with neutral referee, Calzaghe UD or late stoppage . Ward will for once be fighting a top level fighter who he will have a speed disadvantage against, Calzaghe chops him up on the inside if ward if not aloud to hold like usual

GGG - think this is 50-50 IF GGG has the power to hurt Calzaghe badly. Otherwise i see a Calzaghe UD as he will be able to outwork GGG and is also able to fight on the back foot

Kovalev - a young Calzaghe who was a huge puncher might have a chance against Kovalev as there are still question marks about his chin but still only a slim chance. Kovalev beats him by knock out although Joe could definetly win this one

Stevenson - ko calzaghe, Stevensons telegraphed left isnt going to land on calzaghe and he eventually gets chopped up by joe

Pascal - UD calzaghe outworked and outboxed

 

Who has Kovalev beaten to only give Calzaghe a 'slim chance'?

Ward has the best shot out of those mentioned. That to me is a 50-50 fight

 

why are you matching Joe with guys he wouldn't have accepted to face?

surely you should be going with figths that might have happened - joe aint never going to face these dudes with the possible exception of Pascal instead of him facing Kessler in Cardiff... but that's unlikely. Joe is too cowardzaghe as depicted by his resume.


I guess calzaghe fans have to rely on fantasy matchups since they have so little to rely on in real life.

Same reason people match Jones against Nunn, Collins and Michalzewski even though he never had any intention of fighting any of them - because it's a fantasy match-up scenario and people want to dream about what might have happened if the fight actually occurred.
