You do that. You can safely presume Joe was shagging his bit on the side when he should have been fighting Johnson as well.
No difference whatsoever. As I remember it, Joe agreed to fight Johnson but 'injured his back' and agreed to renegotiate with Johnson further down the line. Then Johnson beat Jones...when it came to renegotiate Joe was 'busy getting divorced' I may be wrong but I think Joe fought Salem or rematched a man he'd already knocked out in 1 round instead. What a warrior :nut
I didn't know the News of the World had gone up-market? With any luck someone else will take a shot at Warren again before long, I actually think he's worse than Don King for harming the sport.
:rofl :rofl :rofl How many other so-called 'great' fighters would actively duck a journeyman opponent because they're getting divorced and just can't stop crying? Calzaghe is a class A tart :deal
It's your fault for perpetuating the Calzaghe back slapping. I was on his side after the Kessler win but after reading what you morons have to say on here I'm back to wanting to see him knocked out.:good
Whereas Internet tough guy Fighting Weight has a great pro resume You will bash him whatever he does, as he's Welsh. You've exposed your bias, and as such your opinion is void When England unearths a fighter half as good as Joe Calzaghe get back to me
I've exposed MY bias? I am a tough guy, I've already told you I've had 50 fights and not lost once - therefore I'm tougher than Calzaghe. I called Calzaghe out and he never replied to my letter therefore he's ducking me. England V Wales at boxing? Not even a contest. I'd even place Frank Bruno ahead of Calzaghe, at least he had the balls to occasionally fight good fighters. Or at least fight good fighters that weren't into their 40's.
Don't know if it was a few days, but she died whilst he was in preparation I think. There's a guy with guts, and he wasn't facing a fighter like Glen ****ing Johnson either.
Bruno? Debatable. By debatable I mean wrong Even so, I was talking current. You havn't got anybody in the same league, not by a long way. You ought to do what everyone else does, jump on the bandwagon and enjoy the ride and as soon as things go wrong cast him aside as Welsh Back on topic. Who can beat Joe Calzaghe? Shoutout to all the yanks out there
You think Hatton isn't in the same league as Calzaghe? I think you're wrong, for several reasons. Hatton had the nuts to step up a weight and fight the universally recognised P4P number 1 in the sport and went 10 rounds with him, winning a few rounds on the way too. Calzaghe could have moved up the same amount of weight anytime from 1999-2003 and fought the universally recognised P4P number 1 in the sport and chose not to, because he has no balls. Had he done so I might have some respect for him - but even if he had he wouldn't have lasted even 6 rounds with Jones before getting levelled.
Oh and on this point why don't you point out to me opponents of Calzaghes that are as good as Witherspoon (Bruno fought him at age 25) Tyson x 2, Smith, McCall, Lewis... Yes Bruno lost a few fights, but at least he had the balls to take them.
