They never do get the facts right. They just cant accept that Calzaghe was never beaten and that he beat Hopkins and Jones.
Calzaghe only fought about 18 times in 46 fights in his own country

warren also offered the fight after pavlik beat taylor the first time, but had a rematch with taylor instead.. it wasn't until calzaghe had gone up to light heavy that pavlik started calling him out.

Yeah they like to forget these things, they're so bias. It eats away at them, that Calzaghe beat all of the American fighters he fought

He was a puncher at one point but that was before his prime. Saying Calzaghe was a puncher, is like saying Hearns was a knockout artist at 168. He was at 147/154, just like Calzaghe was early in his career, but Hearns at 168 wasn't a puncher and Calzaghe in his prime wasn't.

    mitchell wasn't a known puncher???

he was one of the biggest puncher's in boxing you idiot.

and he wasn't close to getting stopped.. he went down from a great punch, but got up in 3 seconds.. he then went to war with him and knocked mitchell down harder than he was.

i know the history little one,

Mitchell had a record built on losing records , that doesnt make you a puncher. When he did raise the competition his ratios were far lower.

Joe was hurt , recovered and stopped Mitchell. If you notice the point I was raising was that it was mentioned that Joe has never been close to being stopped , but in this fight he was , and the reason I know , was because I was ringside in Cardiff.

I don't understand why people say that Joe would just slap and nobody would respect his punching power. That never happened in any of his fights, when Joe wanted to get your attention with a shot he would. A lot of fighters said that after getting in the ring with Calzaghe that the "slaps" hurt much more than they thought they would.

Anyways, I would take Joe C by UD

Straight right knocks slappy's head off like Rock em Sock em robot. End of career, which is why Frank Warren would (and did) have said, HELL NO!!!
