Tell me how Hopkins was past it like Holyfield was. Hopkins was P4P #3, Ring LHW champ and was scoring his BEST wins of Tarver, Wright and Pavlik. You also dont note that Calzaghe was past his prime, with such damaged hands probably more so than Hopkins. Lets remember Calzaghe was closer to the end of his career than Hopkins and Jones.
Jones was a top 10 LHW who after going the distance with The Ring LHW champ had reeled off 3 easy wins and challenged the new champ.

Hopkins was past prime physically, not in the context of his career. Joe was past prime too, i'll give you that, although his style wasn't affected to any great degree, he was always a workrate based accumulation swarmer with a bit extra. Jones was completely shot, i don't see why there would be a huge distinction between him and Holy.

 

Lacys top 5 wins in my opinion would be -
Vanderpool - a top 10 world rated SMW
Reid - a top 10 world rated SMW
Tsypko - who was a world rated SMW and won the European SMW title
Manfredo when he was a top 10 world rated SMW
Then it is a bit of a toss up between Pemberton and Sheika who were both frindge contenders.
A fair resume, which is better than highly regarded A Dirrell now.
If you consider how high Bute is rated, consider that Lacy beat Reid who had beaten Butes last opponent Magee and Butes previous opponent Brinkley

Hopkins was so past physically he was having his best wins. Calzaghe was past his best and his style was greatly affected as his hands were badly damaged.
When people say Calzaghe is a swarmer, how did he beat Lacy? For big parts it was on the counter

Jirov never even fought at LH much less cruiser as a pro... Hasnt been a LH since the olympics.... Cant see Jirov getting down that low... But why dont Joe try and win a third title? IF they fight at Cruiser.. Calzaghe would take a big early lead and will look to be to fast for Jirov... But Jirov was relentless and a good body puncher, also alot stronger than Calzaghe and his punches wouldnt get Jirovs respect... Jirov eventually wears down Calzaghe and stops him late.
