I was afraid I was the only one to see it. Calzaghe could win a few rounds, but when you have two guys with great workrate, and one has an clear edge in power and chin departments it is natural to favour him. I admit Calzaghe was faster, but Jirov had size advantage, so withoug splittin hairs over it let's say those factors cancel each other.
firstly; you reckon that jirov regularly weighed in higher than his "walking around weight"? really? REALLY? in just under 50% of the fights he had before the toney fight he weighed in at or over his "walking around weight"? & look at the guy in the toney fight...how could he cut 15lbs? he was lean as ****. we are not talking about a guy who was an undersized cruiser. he would clearly have to kill himself to make 175 & the thread starter reckons he could make 168...so he would have to drop a minimum of 22lbs...something that i pointed out...& you disagreed with...which is the sole reason we are having this conversation. & the sole reason you think he could make 175 is a quote where his manager says they can make 185? :huh &...i wasn't basing my opinion on "a source beyond my own words"; i don't have one readily to hand that i was basing my whole argument on...however a cursory search of the internet provided this; "Jirov has been known to have a bit of trouble making weight from time to time, but nothing too serious." http://www.eastsideboxing.com/boxing-news/Tony-Jirov-Preview.php :hat we are talking about a guy whose prime weight was 168 taking on a guy who was a cruiser & heavy. how ridiculously stacked is that? it's like saying; "who would win...david haye or andre ward"? it is bull****. i don't know why people are dignifying this ****. :deal
This thread is a classic example of the type of braindead teenage troll behaviour that Headgiver and Bailey provide on here. How has listing Jirov's top 5 wins got any relevance to an H2H discussion of who would win in the ring between Joe Calzaghe and Vassiliy Jirov? As usual, the morons have Failed, and it's all too easy to point out why. :smoke This content is protected
^ Piece of Cake! Bailey is definitely not a boxing fan. Probably skate boards for fun and just became aware of boxing through watching UFC.
So you ducked the question . If a fighter has real pedigree they tend to have at least a couple of impressive wins. What were Jirovs big CW wins :huh. Are you going :huh to pull another massive duck
Bailey on why ODLH and Trinidad are crappy wins for Hopkins: This content is protected Bailey's previous statement: This content is protected Bailey OWNED....Bailey 'Ducking' himself....
Bailey contradicts himself all the time. Unfortunately he's: 1. too stupid to understand when he does that. 2. has a post ass kisser in HeadGIVER to agree with everything he says. 3. A tiotal hypocrite with a HUGE bias for UK fighters. 4. See #1....
You have just owned yourself atsch, as Calzaghe wasnt hurt when put down and was fighting at a higher weight than he had fought before atsch, Trinidad was hurt several times in lower divisions and had been put down 7 times previously that I know of. 7 times is alot not to mention in lower divisions and had been badly hurt on several of those. You fool you just owned yourself. Notice I said Trinidad had been put down 7 times in lower weight divisions Exumspate schooled again :smoke Exumspate, you havent learnt how to quote sentences. Highlight what you want to note then (from right to left) go to the 6th icon along which is like a speech bubble and hit on that, it will save you having to colour in all of your mistakes and stop you highlighting your self pwnings as much
No the truth is, YOU like Uttercunt are impressed that I can school everyone of your arguements. Uttercunt will now say something along the lines of not debating or too stupid etc, but hasnt even mentioned anything about boxing and is on here as a sad singleton looking for friends
You mention me more then I mention you ******. You can't go without mentioning my name! Sorry poof, I don't want to get between you and Headgiver. :smooch
