Do you genuinely believe that or is the statement driven by your hatred of a national of superior intellect?

Eh, I believe it was you guys that try to elevate Lacy so that Joe would have at least one decent fighter on his resume.
It didn't work, so he went for Peter Manfredo. :rofl:rofl

as I said in another post...Hopkins is 7 years senior to Joe...the Haters will use that as an excuse if Joe wins, but they likely would not accept the fact that Joe was 6 years senior to Lacy, and stil won easily....I think they are both grade A fighters.....but the age factor won't wash with me, and I know the Lacy fans would not have acccepted a 6 year differnce, back on the gllomy March night when Lacy got whipped.

Eubank was great, but yes he was over the hill and all. How could JC fight Nunn. JC won the title in 1997 and Nunn was well past it and had given up on boxing by this time. Toney was not interested in fighting at SMW and BHOP probably wanted to clean up the MW division before moving weights to fight JC. However, there is no excuse for not making the RJJ fght and yes JC would have lost that one!

People can sit and discredit resumes all day. There are about a hundred threads full of people doing exactly that. If you honestly believe Joe, with his unorthodox, unbelievably effective style, is not talented, then you are most certainly just having a pop at a nation and not judging a fighter without bias. You are fairly articulate, but let yourself down greatly with **** like this. I could never go through life as bitter as you. It must be so ****!!!

Well, Hopkins is no Lacy, even at the age of 43. I do think Calzaghe is going to win this fight, but I do think it will be competitive. I think in the end Calzaghe's speed will be too much for Hopkins to handle, but we will see come fight night. I'm really looking forward to this fight.

So eubank was old at 31, and Joe whmped Lacy at 34, and is now going on 37, with Hopkins at 43....31 aint **** for over the hill, it's just lame excuses, like when Tyson finally took on a good boxer, as in Buster Douglas

Nobody has ever annihilated Hopkins and even though he's past his prime now, he's still the stiffest competition Calzaghe has ever faced. Hopkins experience, toughness, and craftiness should not be underestimated. Hopkins also has home advantage and Calzaghe will have to use all his skills to win.
