Do not make Pavlik like he is the massive favorite here and has the tools to destroy Calzaghe should they battle; it is the exact opposite in fact.

And when Joe, as expected, coughs up another victory at the expense of Pavlik, the majority of the posters here then will believe that Joe beat another legend in the making.

"I just couldn't see the punches coming," Lockett said.

Pavliks right is just as cunning as that of Hopkins, only faster and with more range...and power. More so than Bika.

Think about the very strong fighters that Hopkins has made look terrible recently. And about the fact that against Jermaine Taylor, even if you had Taylor winning, Hopkins came on.

Now Joe C comes up in weight from super middle and fights a guy that just beat the stuffing out of Tarver, a recognized light heavyweight champion. Aside from the flash knockdown in the first round, this is not even a close fight. Calzaghe won almost every round after round 3. Why is that slipping? Hopkins usually figures the other fighter out and pulls away. The opposite happened in the fight with Calzaghe. If they fought again, Joe would not get caught by that punch and would win even easier. He has Hopkins figured out.

Calzaghe is stronger than before, not weaker. Remember, Tarver is not washed up; Hopkins just made him look that way, as he did Winky. But BHop was the one tiring late against Calzaghe.

That having been said, Pavlik is a great middle weight and it will be a highly competitive fight along the lines of the Kessler-Calzaghe fight, but maybe closer.

You are high on Andrade but always put Pavlik down when they are very similar fighters with Pavlik having clearly accomplished more. You are too obvious with your agenda.

Even if you are not serious with your analysis, any sane boxing fan should realize that Pavlik is a huge challenge for Calzaghe.

Calzaghe has a great chin, he can be put down by a flash KD, but always recovers quick.

Pavlik won't score a flash KO, he is heavy handed, and will hit Calzaghe, who will stay on his feet and be hit again. It isn't the level of power Pavlik has, it is the type of power Pavlik has that makes me think he can stop Calzaghe who stay in front of people and takes shots, something he is used to doing. Pavliks punches will be too heavy and wear him down.

The point i'm trying to make is that you are focusing on just the positive aspects of Andrade while focusing only on the negative aspects of Pavlik despite the fact that they are both limited physically and are somewhat similiar in style. Ah heck, i'll just say it. You are just dead wrong with Pavlik. :good

I, on the other hand, being of sound mind, can give both fighters credit and see them for what they are. Andrade is a tough cookie that's tough to beat. But so is Pavlik. :good

Let me start out by saying that im not a Pavlik fan. If this fight comes off, i will favor Pavlik by stoppage. I see people on here talking about how Pavlik is slow, doesnt have good movement, has a predictable style, etc..., while calzaghe is miles faster, can adjust more, etc....and they are correct in that assessment.

Pavlik has three things gng for him that overcomes all of his lack of natural ability, his size, stamina, and power. He basically overwhelms his opponents. As a boxer myself, I can tell you that it puts alot of pressure on you when you have an opponent that not only comes forward all night for 12 rounds, but comes forward with the power to hurt you. Its kinda the same way Tyson won when he was younger, he always came and came with power, and it made his opponents very uncomfortable.

For all these super human qualities that Kelly now all of a sudden has lets not forget how close the 2nd bout with Taylor was !!

In no way shape or form will he walk threw Calzaghe .Allot of people thought Lacy woud do the same thing ..For all his come forward style what happens when he gets backed up ? I have yet to see him really explode once backed up ..Calzageh is by far on of the smartest guys inside the ring next to Hopkins .He can adapt to any fighters style can the same be said for Kelly ? Only time will tell but if they fight today Calzaghe wins by majority decision !

trying to downplay calzaghe and raise pavlik's stock so that when the fight happens and joe wins, would have an effect like calzaghe have pulled the biggest upset of them all.
