Joe Calzaghe will not destroy Kelly Pavlik should they fight.

No way on earth can anyone compare hopkins' precise counters to pavliks straight rights!

I love pavlik but i can see him being exposed big time by a clever fighter. JC or hopkins could do a number on him, cant think of anyone else currently.

on the one hand i think calzaghe simply has to much all round class and savvy for pavlik and really busts him up.on the other hand pavlik although limited has great spirit, strength, single minded determination and of course power and is the type of fighter you have to pin to the canvas to stop.it could turn out to be a tough nights work for joe.i'd fancy him but wouldn't necessarily put my mortgage on him.

I agree that Joe will do well, but that won't be a matter of "exposing" Pavlik. Pavlik has already beaten world class competition in devastating fashion. He isn't exposable. To be exposed means there's a hidden weakness; that he's not really a good fighter but has been tricking everyone into believing he is. Is that what you really think?

Was Norton exposed when Holmes decisioned him? Losing a decision to Calzaghe won't be being exposed, after his wins over Miranda and Taylor. It will just show how great Calzaghe is.

    Was Nelson exposed by Sanchez?

That money grabber doesn't deserve to be mentioned near Calzaghe. Calzaghe doesn't fight pointless rematches or even thinks about It.

Pavlik is extremely effective at stopping opponents, however he does it, it works, even if it isn't explosive punching. Calzaghe is immune to explosive punching anyway, heavy handed shots will wear him down though.

Pavlik with his unique power is one of the few fighters in history with a genuine chance of stopping Calzaghe. Calzaghe has never had a problem being hit again and again (see Reid and Eubanks fights) But against Pavlik it will be different. He is a special physical specimin.

Hopkins still landed a punch in that first. Pavlik can too obviously.

The only reason Hopkins was outlanded by a 2:1 ratio was his age. A younger more active Hopkin would land just as many shots as Calzaghe, its not like Calzaghe can counter a crafty fighter like Hopkins with superior speed and reflexes alone.
