I'm not that big on Moorer. Moorer KO'd everyone but his opposition was comparatively horrible. He didn't look all that good in the best opponent he faced there in Leslie Stewart.

I wouldn't pick him over guys like Spinks, Qawi, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad (when he bothered to train hard), RJJ. I'd pick the current guy at 175 in Kovalev over him, actually.

Agreed but Calzaghe would had put up much tougher fight than hop & jones. Jones loses within 3 hops bad shutout and Calzaghe wins competitive ud.

I agree that his comp was that great but he got everybody out of there. Considering that he carried his power up to heavyweight and even has a victory over Holyfield, I can't dismiss him as easily as you do.

    MaxKellerman has tourette syndrome:lol:
    He'll blurt-out anything.

Max said Librado Andrade has the best chin in boxing history.
Don't take what Max says serious..he's obviously malfunctioned.

    That was a good one.

Micheal Spinks would vaporize Joe Calzhage:deal with the greatest of ease.He is wide open for every thing Spinks throws best.

Joe actually fought the loser of an elimination bout for his Title.
    Echols KO'd Brewer...Joe fought Brewer:lol:
He wouldn't go NEAR Micheal Spinks.

He shamelessly ducked Glenn Johnson and Antwun Echols no way does he sack-up to fight an ATG like Spinks.

Sven Ottke fought and BEAT Glenn Johnson:rofl

Joe went life and death with a shot Charles Brewer.

You better go watch some fights.
Watch Spinks and Calzhage back to back the slap yourself.

I'd say on reflection that maidana and Kessler are about par.

prime for prime I would put a good sized chunk on Spinks.

He was awkward, fast and powerful. Plus a few other things.

Calzaghe wins no secrets in boxing in the 21st century compared to spinks day. Tactics play a major part, no blueprint to beat Calzaghe

Spinks was a beast. No doubt. It took a prime Tyson at HW to expose whatever problems he had.

This is it. Calzaghe is Boxing's version of Bruce Lee, he has a Style with no style. Add that with a iron chin, blazingly fast hands, the heart of a Lion, unbreakable will, and an IQ equivalent to Boxing's Albert Einstein and you habe a virtual unbeatable fighting machine.
No one under heavyweight beats Calzaghe.

Joe's a great fighter but his 175 pound resume consists of beating a shot to **** Jones, which he acknowledged years before they fought in his own autobiography, and Bernard Hopkins, who's resume and punching power at 175 are mediocre at best. You are a liar.

Prime Tyson knocks Joe Calzaghe out in the 1st round as well.
