Ummm...I really dont know what this world is coming into {sigh}:-( Where shall I begin......As i waz reading comments and replys on another thread,i happen to pass by a couple of my fellow ESB users and they were debating whether or not If Michael Moorer would be able to give Joe Calzaghe "Fits" if they were to have fought in their primes at Light-Heavyweight,none of the less they both agreed they felt Joe would destroy Moorer in the end whether Moorer made it competitive or not and I just want to ask...:-(.....DO YA REALLY FEEL JOE CALZAGHE HAD A CHANCE TO BEAT A PRIME MICHAEL MOORER?? AND EVEN DESTROY HIM AS WELL?? HONEST OPINIONS PEOPLE!!
Stop acting like a ****. ONE poster said this:- "Moorer at LHW would also give Joe fits, I would still give joe a slight edge, but he could lose to a much younger polished southpaw like moorer, moorer beat a prime holyfield at heavyweight...." Hardly anyone would agree with him.
Joe would also starch a prime spinx, poke his chin out at bob fitz, dance circles around ezzard charles, toy with dick tiger and slap the black off the mongoose at LHW. Lololol!
Actually, Moorer was really, really green when he was a light heavyweight. Calzaghe could easily be too much for a young undeveloped fighter. Pick em, imo.
Moorer beat some good fighters at 175. He destroyed Leslie Stewart, who was a former champ. He had very good skills, and was strong and quick enough to give JC loads of trouble.
:deal Comments like this is why i always say Joe Calzaghe is most overrated fighter in the history of boxing
He was chinny at heavyweight. However Calzaghe is a super middleweight/light heavyweight. I'd favor Moorer, although not by wide odds. You figure it's best off to have the Calzaghe of a few years before he actually moved up to 175 in there, when he was younger and his hands were healthier. He said he had problems making 168 for awhile so it's not a huge stretch to put him there (much like Hopkins above 160 during the early 2000s). Moorer, however, was a huge light-heavyweight with a lot of power, and would enjoy a size advantage. His opposition was rather limited there, but Calzaghe's there to be hit. Calzaghe had decent enough defense, but is best off in a rather aggressive style, and Moorer would find him. Calzaghe's a tough guy with a good chin, but Moorer's 175 lb. power is different than the guys Joe is used to be getting hit by.
