Not a technique any instructor would ever recommend but he made it work for him and that's what matters. He used it to get wins.

Not an overly impressive resume IMO. He's nowhere near as great as this board makes him, nor the bum his detractors say he was.

Overall, a guy with a couple of decent wins, a borderline HOF'er IMO. Let's face it, 168 is a very new division in the sport and wasn't deep during Joe's reign and the HOF ballot he appeared on was even weaker.

 

Didn't like his style, but enjoyed watching him pummel Left Hook and nullifying Kessler's skills.

Again, Calzaghe, Froch, Eubank and Benn but who's the fifth one? Reid, Woodhall, Cately, DeGale and Groves are the other other Brits to have won any of the big World Titles, or are you counting Watson?

It's boxing though, not reality TV, can't vote him out of the ATG list, or Hall of Fame because you don't like his personality

 

Throwing stones in glass houses springs to mind in regards to you calling Calzaghe about his outside of boxing lifestyle when Ibeabuchi is a convicted sex pest.

 

selecting a 40something ATG is the embarrassment, few figthers have stooped so low in such relativeltycowardly fashion. god forbid camacho had bowed out facing 2 fortysomething ATGs, that would be a low indeed.
