its why warrens article was one sided.

if warren had paid a bit more money these are fights we could have had instead of warren milking the uk boxing public with the list of fighters you put up and calzaghe fought.

DLH,Trinidad = midgets, Taylor = nothing special and Hopkins got his arse kicked twice,Jones Jr = Hopkins got his arse kicked, Johnson = one dimensional, Wright = light middle who a lot thought won, you didn`t mention the big names Council,Bo James,Hakkar,Lipsey,Frank,Mercado,Vanderpool!!! Back to the drawing board Bjorn :D

hopkins , just like calzaghe did not have many stellar names in his division 1995 to 2005 and tito was his first big payday, jones jnr included.

cant blame boxers for taking big paydays as calzaghe is doing v jones and hopkins did v DLH.

He lost a few, but he still fought them all, didn't he?

Tell me something then, expert.... if Bernard swapped places with Joe, do you see Joe staying undefeated? I honestly see Bernard staying undefeated with Joe's foes.

Pity. The one that really grinds me is Ottke. That was a must fight, imo. It's the biggest stain on Calzaghe's career, that he shares an almost identical record at 168 with a fighter from his own era. Ridiculous.

It all comes down to money aswel, but fighting the likes of Mitchell, Brewer and Sheika, which to me at leats, were highy entertaining, in America, would of made the world of difference to him getting a fight with either Hopkins or Jones.

Roy Jones Jr was not the same when Glen Johnson beat him. Everyone recognizes that

a career contender is not in the same class as a career champion, thats just by regular logic, not just mine.

fact of the matter is, Joe Calzaghe will go down as the greatest SMW ever........ unfortunately until somebody comes along to possibly upheave this statement, is boxing fact!

    agreed

ottke was paid 2 million euro`s a fight though v anyone and warren offered him 1 million £ /euro`s ? cannot remember to come to england showing warren was never serious, and just played this for paper talk knowing it was never going to be accepted.

saying this ottke never wanted a calzaghe fight , i am 99% positive , because ottke refused to even acknowledge that a fighter called calzaghe exsisted.

but replace 5 fights and put in some b class fighters and calzaghe would have had a very good resume all the way through without any real risk of him losing instead of a patchy resume top haevy at the end of his career.

I actually remember watching a Eurosport feature on Ottke, years back. I hadn't a clue who he was until half way through (I was only getting into boxing at this stage) but when I found out he was at 168, I perked up and waited for something about Calzaghe. But it never came. The reporter never asked a question about JC, but if memory serves me correct he did ask about the other 2 title holders at the time. Ottke didn't even seem to want to talk about them. It was kind of surreal to watch it as I thought that they'd surely mention somethng about JC. Never did though.

All of them ****, yet Lacy is great for Calzaghe and one of his better opponents is Vanderpool. Brewer likewise and he lost to Echols? Stop being ignorant of other fighter's, you're supposed to be a fan of boxing.

A couple of Bernies better oponents kicked his arse. Not something anyone has managed to do to JC. All the goons ripping on JC are boxing aficianados??

Regardless of what they are, do you have to do the same to Hopkins? Would it be beyond you to reply to someone's post, with respect towards other fighters?
