Joe Calzaghe's defense is not good enough to beat a prime Jones/Hopkins or a Toney

Calzaghe already beat prime Jones. Jone won the first round, and maybe 1 or 2 more after, no more. Joe already beat prime Jones 10-2 / 9-3 pretty handily!

    so did danny green

actually Danny Green Demolished Prime RJJ, while Calzaghe struggled against prime RJJ that means

Danny Green ranks higher than Calzaghe

    Danny Green KO4 Calzaghe

Nothing to discuss with you, you've already shown you dont know what your talking about when you suggest Toney as a Calzaghe opponent. Toney was a CW before Joe even won his first SMW title dummy, and was at HW around the time Joe was beating B Mitchell, so when was Calzaghe meant to fight him :patsch. Ignorance

America has to except it and forgive Calzaghe for beating all their top boys and, except Hopkins ducked him .

It happend now get over it

Jones got ruined by Calzaghe. Jones was shot by the time Green got to him.

A Past it Calzaghe beating a Prime Jones > A Prime Green KOing a Real Shot Jones.

People like you really annoy me

"Im gonna find 3 incidents in Joe Calzaghe's career and use that to verify ny contention that Joe Calzaghe has no defence"

    Whoop de f*****g do, congratulations

A man who throws over 100 punches a round is bound to leave holes in his defence, its up to his opponent to find the gaps

In a 46-0 career not many did.

    He still looks well

He doesn't slur his speech (just look at Meldrick taylor and Riddick Bowe)

He had a unique style which any boxing fan could admire and be entertained by

He very rarely got marked up in fights, although his hands took a beating

    His work rate was phenomenal

    Your original statement is b*****t

I agree Headbanger. After seeing The dazzling hand-speed Calzaghe had in that fight, I was heavily influenced in my own boxing style which can be seen in the below video. :happy

All calzaghe had to do to be jones and hopkins was survive early dont get caught/ use his stamina to outwork later, couldnt even do that fllored by two dinosaurs in the first round hardly hall of fame stuff.Hattons two losses are worth more than joes entire career anyone who disagrees isn't a boxing fan just a calzaghe fan.
sucking the life out of an alphabet strap and fighting chumps has set a blueprint for ruining boxing. in fifty years there will be thousands of undefeated champs all like calzaghe.

thanks joe for ruining boxing with your fifteen year old fans who dont even remember ten years of your own career

calzaghe was knocked down by jones and hopkins when he was 36-37 years old...when hopkins knocked him down,it was a well timed shot.calzaghe wasn't even hurt.

i disagree about hatton's two losses being better than joe's whole career...and i know more about boxing than you ever will.i'm a fan of joe and boxing as a whole, not some moron like yourself who can't give credit to a great fighter.

did joe beat your favourite fighters....is that why you slag him off constantly?(like alot of people do in this forom of idiots)

oh,and you saying he sucked the life out of a alphabet strap......no one would give him a unification fight because they knew they would of lost there belts.they fought him as soon as they lost there belts and were beaten...it wasn't until lacy and kessler came along and said that they wanted to fight joe...and guess what, the fights were made and joe beat them easy.

    why in 50 years?

we've had over a hundred years of boxing....can't you pick from all the great fighters of the past to find someone who retired undefeated with a record like calzaghe did?
