Calzaghe's got talent with incredible skills and speed but his opposition isn't that good i find.if you lokk at his big wins eubank, brewer, sheika, reid, mitchell, veit, bika, lacy, kessler, hopkins

The super-middleweight divison wasn't as good as it is right now if you lokk at his last win he beat an old legent hopkins at 43 and wants to fight the old roy jones and didnt fight him at his prime i respect him wanting to fight a legend thats finish im my opinion but there's still a young primed middleweight chmapions that;s beaten the guy that beat hopkisn twice named kelly pavlik andbeating a pavlik in his prime would put a better note on hsi resume than beating and old jones, its time for calzaghe to do the right choices and saying pavlik will be too easy and hasnt 20.. defences like him doesnt make me change idea that beating a young star in his prime is better than an old finished legend.if calzaghes takes on roy jones i think he wont be recognized of that great for beating 2 old legends

    Very true!

I started a thread in the Brit forum straight after his interview 2nite (were he said he wanted just one more fight, and he wanted it against Jones). I stated there that his legacy now depends to large extent on what Kessler does (can't be bothered repeating all I said, but it is there if you wanna read it).

The mere idea of Calzaghe fighting Jones is a bad joke.

The last time Jones legitimately beat a decent fighter was John Ruiz in March 2003. That's FIVE YEARS ago!

Although he got the decision against Tarver first time he lost the fight by a mile, then he lost 3 in a row (2 stonecold knockouts) to guys he would have blown away in his prime. Then he beat 2 guys on points who were mediocre at best, and then was that joke against an overweight blown-up welterweight who hadn't won a fight in years- and Jones couldn't even stop him!!
Does this form mean you should be getting into the ring with the #2 pound-for-pound guy in the world? Are you off your ****ing head?!?!? Jones Jr should not even be allowed a world title shot until he beats even ONE top 10 ranked light-heavyweight opponent.

Kelly Pavlik is the middleweight champion, undefeated, and now in The Ring's top 10 P4P. He is the only challenge left for Joe. Joe should either take that challenge and go for legendary status, or quit now.
