I think its pretty obvious that Nathan Cleverly and the other guys at the Newbridge gym are not enough to help Calzaghe spar for Hopkins. I would like to see him get some top class sparing in before the Hopkins fight.

Enzo Macceranelli was clearly not prepared to take big shots like Haye was, and this could be due to the fact that Calzaghe was the hardest punch he faced in sparring.

Calzaghe's never been a big sparrer anyway.

Yep. I bet Enzo is seriously pissed off that he did not take on decent sized sparring partners for Macca. He will not let anybody know his **** up but I will be surprised if a few guys do not turn up to help with the sparring.

Any thought on who they may pick if they go down that route?

What would sparring with Calzaghe teach Enzo about Haye??

Haye's supposed to have had quality sparring in America. I know one of them was BJ Flores.

haye said BJ flores was much better than enzo in his post fight interview on showtime. :yep so he was obviously one of the sparring partners.

someone like antwun echols would be a decent sort of sparring partner for JC.

he's fought hopkins hasn't he. :bbb

Haye said In Setanta Interviews that Enzo was also the no 2 cruiserweight though.

Didn't Flores have a tough one against Ding who posts on here?

Flores looked pretty good against Ding and clearly won, but Ding did look poor as well. I'd lke to see more of him before picking a winner if he fought Enzo.

    Howard Eastman would be good.

Estman would be good and would be up for it I guess.

Blow Job did look good against Ding but that is not hard. BJ could be a future champion at cruiser, I would not bet against it.

Howard Eastman would be ideal for the technical side of it, he's been around the block, he knows his stuff, and could attempt to imitate Hopkins economical counterpunching

    Sakio Bika for the rest
