What are the strong and weak points of Joe Calzaghe in the ring?

He's kinda hard to analyze, actually...

    Strong sides:
    - Weird style that is hard to counter
    - Very fast puncher
    - Great stamina
    - Calm minded

    Weak sides:
    - Not much punching power

Hmm... What about his defenses, considering he has never been knocked out? How can he always manage to survive?

I'd say his offence was his defence, when he got into his groove there was a constant whirlwind of awkwardly thrown but strangely effective arm punches combined with his southpaw stance kept opponents on the back foot.

Sad when you have to survive the likes of Byron Mitchell, Karbay Salem and a 42 year old Hopkins at 175 and a shot to **** 40 year old RJJ.

Which one of these killers do you give Calzaghe most credit for surviving?

You forgot about Mikkel Kessler :blurp
That was an absolutely great achievement of Calzaghe. Only Ward and Calzaghe has ever beaten Kessler.

He had great amateur experience well. The guy just knew how to win a fight, along with his great stamina and combinations.

answer me this question, why was Hopkins stamina never an issue before fighting Calzaghe, and never after fighting Calzaghe? When did he visibly gas against Pavlik, Pascal, Dawson? Joe wore him down, and Joe reduced him to faking low blows.

Did it upset you watching a washed up, past prime, blown up 36 year old Joe Calzaghe clown Roy Jones in front of a global audience of millions? :deal

Yeah poor Joe so shot at the age of 35 and he had to fight beasts like Hopkins and RJJ but them being old is just something we won't mention? Don't wanna face facts that Calzaghe was closer to his prime than Roy or B-hop? Don't wanna just say the truth that Hopkins who is Calzaghe's best or second best win of his career is at best a good win?
