How is slapping punches a con, when it helped him score so many points?

Mikkel Kessler is his best win and that's a great achievement.

Yes.... took Calzaghe til his last fight at 168 and one of the last of his career to fight someone as good as Kessler..... then came Andre Ward still wet behind the ears smelling like milk comes and beats the same Kessler easily in his first fight at the world class level. But lets be honest if 20 years from now Ward's best win is still just Kessler i doubt he is looked at as great as some of you look at Calzaghe.

Kessler has beaten Carl Froch, which was a world class match. And he has beaten other good names, like Librado Andrade and Allan Green. And by the way, Andre Ward wouldn't have won that match against Kessler outside of USA, as he would be disqualified for headbutting there :)

And what happened the next time he fought someone that actually knew how to box? Oh that's right he lost clear and wide against Dawson. What did Calzaghe do to Hopkins again? Oh that's right he got dropped and had to settle for throwing slaps at the wind and just barely won a SD.

    King Joe!!!!!

Not proper technique gave him a lot of critics and guys who bashed him because of it. BTW I'm not a Calzaghe hater I loved to watch him fight and consider him an ATG at 168 and think that he would be great in any era.

Hopkins was obviously totally outboxed by Calzaghe, who just was downed once, bad luck happens sometimes, but he got right back up and owned Hopkins?

Allen Green is a good name? To who? Who thinks of Green of anything more than a journeyman/ gatekeeper?

And Calzaghe do should be 0-46 all by dq for using the inside of his glove.... that's illegal toil.:smooch

    Sad you actually believe that.

Clearly one of those who's upset that Joe beat the best America has to offer.
