Come on... Realistically speaking, Dirrell clearly didn't win, although he did put up a good match. As for the match against Jermain Taylor, it just proved that Froch could manage to come back from bad moments and knock his opponent the **** out, even when behind on the scorecards? At the end of the day, he beated Jermain Teylor :deal

Apparently he didn't have to be anyone to prove how great he was. Dawson would've been the best win of his career but yet he didn't need to? hmmm

Yeah, he did, he needed to beat a true champion, and he beated Kessler. Beating Hopkins was also an achievement. I don't consider the RJJ-match an achievement, though, Roy Jones Jr. would destroy him in his prime.

In all fairness it was his injuries that stopped his power but you cant compare him to Paulie Malignaggi. He stopped 32 of his opponents, hurt Lacy throughout the entrie fight, dropped Mitchell and I think he even hurt Kessler at some stage in the fight but for example when he was antagonized by Kabary Salem and Hopkins ( pre fight ) he was dropped both times, if he wasnt able to adapt he would have lost those fights. another example was Sakio Bika, he was clowning him around in the early stages then Bika got rough and made it a tough fight for Joe.

What was your point? Who says Calzaghe wouldn't have beaten Dawson if they fought? We can't know for sure :smoke Oh, and don't forget Lacy, neither.

We can't. but what we do know for sure is that Calzaghe had the chance to fight Dawson but fighting RJJ then retiring to go sniff coke instead was the better plan for him.

    Lacy? How'd he turn out?

Why would Dawson have been a better win than Kessler, Eubank and Hopkins?

Also stop ducking the points I've made.

Wow, you yanks are right little bitches when it comes to your PED enhanced fighters, always bitching about other whilst looking at your own in a deluded and ******ed manner.

Joe wasn't the best ever but he was pretty good had decent power, you ***s have just watched his last fights which shows you don't know ****.

Stop crying and bitching about other people success, and take a closer look at your own **** and get back to me.

Your right we cant know for sure, Dawson in his credit is a very exceptional fighter however he lacks some of Joe's qualities

Dawson gets Lazy (even in the Hopkins win) its fine to do that vs a counter puncher because they rely on you to come forward however Calzaghe would have stolen rounds

Calzaghe loved a fighter that came forward (Lacy, Mitchell, Brewer) he may be in trouble but he ups the tempo when someone takes the fight to him and it could have gone 50/50

Dawson also has shown some abilities to adapt but its always very late on into the fight, Pascal was dominating the early stages of the fight and Dawson didnt wake up until the 9th or 10th (my memory is a little foggy)

Also Joe is a southpaw also which could be an advantage or disadvantage to either side although i give the edge in Calzaghe to adapt earlier on as niether fighter has fought many southpaw fighters so thats a but of a ?

He probably knew that Dawson would be a great challenge and simply didn't want to box anymore, so it just wouldn't be worth it, he just felt like beginning on coke? :rasta
